Good Morning, All!

I just got home from work 12:15 am my time (gotta love that overtime!), and thought I'd try to be the first one to post for the day.  I made it!

Grab a cuppa, and tell us what you're up to today...

I'll catch you all later.  I need some zzzzz's.

Hi Candy!
We went to three parties today... it was so much fun, but I am tired! I drank a large glass of wine- zinfandel- and I was so tipsy. But it felt fine, just made me a bit "crazier" than usual. I'm sleeping in tomorrow morning and then I'll pack and we'll leave for Tahoe. It will be a three hour drive. I will limit myself to $100 for gambling- hopefully I'll come back with some but if not that's OK. I know the odds are against me. Those of you that are meeting up- have fun- I'll be thinking about you!

Good  Morning Candy and all!  I just had to let the dogs out and decided to do a semi load of dishes too.  (not a full load, but didn't feel like standing there washing them all) now heading back for bed in a few!  Long day Saturday, left the house at 8:50 or so and didn't get home until after 7!  Lot's of driving too.  One good thing, I thought I found a great deal on gas earlier this week at 3.71/gal and today got some for 3,57/gal!  go figure.  I had to get the ole tooth redrained on Thursday so again, that was a wasted day.  I hope to get some house work done today and perhaps work on the bathroom a bit.  Not much new and exciting with me I guess so I will stop!  Have a good Sunday!
going back to bed now!

Good Sunday Morning Candy and Friends,

Candy, just think of that overtime as "vacation fund!". Sta**** away and when the "urge" hits you'll have something in the fund. I try to keep a separate fund going for travel. Otherwise it tends to get absorbed in the regular, run of the mill "needy" fund.

Mike's brother was actually working so that helped with the other problem. We caught him when he got off work, before he had time to get wasted at the bar, had a nice dinner and visit with him. The Broadway Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Restored to it early 1900's glory. Not too fancy, but just really comfortable. A wonderful library/lounge where early risers met for coffee and conversation. Those of you who have met me know that I've never met a stranger, so I loved that part.

Candy, Lots of "real" cowboys there, but unfortunately most of them "smell" like cowboys too. Don't know what to tell you about that. Cows involve hard work and sweat. Guess we'll have to find you one who has a shower fetish!

We spent 2 nights there, 1 night with Mike's Aunt Cleo in Darby and then the wedding in Missoula. Got home early yesterday, repacked and heading out to "grandbaby sit" in Chehalis through Thursday. Josh takes his high school football team to camp in Oregon this week so we're helping out.  You all have a good one. I'll be able to check in from Erin's. Take care,

Karen, that is a good idea about the vacation fund. I think I am going to give that one a try. The problem with that is Bill doesn't get much overtime. But maybe I could put a bit of his pay check in a fund. That may be doable. Maybe not each time but sometimes. That would accumalate too. Thanks for the idea.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

I have a little account in a Seattle Teacher's credit union. When I want to get something out I have to phone or send for it. It isn't "convenient" to get it out quickly and that is a good thing as Martha says! A little bit at a time and it is surprising how it adds up.

Good Sunday morning everyone!  Lovely morning here.  Heavy rain storm yesterday washed everything clean.  Smells so good out there!

My DIL and 2 grandsons leave for 2 weeks vacation tomorrow, so today I'll get all my "instructions".  Not sure what I have to do about the pool.  Nothing, I hope.  Make sure the pump is running, probably. I'll need to collect the mail and the paper.  Early tomorrow they'll bring the dogs and their kennels down.  3 dogs, 2 kennels.  If they are only gonna be gone a couple of days I go up there 4 times a day.  But since they'll be gone 2 weeks, I like to give the poor dogs longer to be out of their kennels.  If the dogs are here, they only go in the kennels overnight, or if we are both gone.  They are used to being in their kennels all day while everyone is at work and school, but I feel sorry for them.  They are very good dogs.  We have a neighborhood bunny that hops through all of our yards.  At least the yards with no dogs.  Anyway, 2 of Kim's dogs are beagles and they go nuts sniffing that bunny's trail all over the yard.

Hope ya'll have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning Candy and my lovlies,

Well, I'm a bit of a grumpy Gus this morning. I hate my computer....Windows Vista stink. Well, it's worse than that, but being Sunday and trying to be a bit of a lady I won't say exactly how I feel about it.,,,LOL

I have 400 brochures to put labels onto and can't get them to print right. The test page is only printing one column on one side and half on the other. Just wasting ink trying to figure it out. So, when Office Depot opens I'm going to go buy the Avery label program and be done with it. The kids are coming for dinner and I'll recruit them to help put the labels on and to fill out the posters (date, time, location, etc.) for the Walk.

Yes, I posted on the AR board for help. Got two people respond with excuses why they couldn't help and one lady to offer, but she lives over 60 miles away.  I feel like the Little Red Hen.  As many times as I've put charity things together you'd think I'd not get uppity over people not helping.

OK, rant over. You guys don't want to hear me blow.  Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

You all take care!  I'm getting more coffee and a shower. That should help...LOL
