Home from Hospital
Good evening all! i am home from surgery on Thursday. Trying to sip sip sip and walk walk walk, A little sore andpretty tired but for my first day on Protein shakes I think I've done pretty good. Got to work more on the water. At least it isn't bothering my pouch toinght. Yesterday it made me ill to drink so I would say it's improving. Thanks for all your support an prayers. Welcome home Vickie, Glad to hear you are home and all went well. Looks like you got the protocol under control, walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip, rest, rest, rest. Here's wishes for a speedy recovery. Paulette
Congratulations Vickie! Sounds like you're doing really well for this early out. I didn't worry too much about my protein drinks for a couple of weeks. I figured I had enough fat stored to carry me through an Arctic winter if necessary without consuming anything. It takes time to adjust and your pouch has a lot of healing to do. Don't overdo anything. The most important things are fluids and rest. Best wishes. This has been an incredible journey for me and so many others on this forum. You've found a great support group here!

Congratulations on the wonderful beginning that you're doing. You seem to be doing a great job. Just do what you can and it will keep improving. Everything takes time. Sip and walk and sip and rest and sip and walk and sip and rest and so on and so on! I am so glad that things went well and I pray that they continue to do the same. Please make sure you post to keep us in the know of how you are doing. And again~welcome to the losers bench.
welcome to the losers bench vickie!!! don't worry about not getting in enough protein at this time nor all the water...it takes time to get it all in!!! just do what you can and don't stress yourself when you don't get it all in...we have all been there and know thats its impossible to get it all in so soon after WLS!!
