MK, Bringing up the "rear wishes" here. What incredible changes in your life in the past two years. I find that I appreciate my "rebirth" birthday more than the original one. I give thanks to my mom for the first and to the miracles of modern science to the second one.  You bring so much to us on this forum. Thank you for continuing to visit and share. I love the image of the "tall, skinny newborn baby screener!" Hugs,

Karen C

Aloha my sister in WA!! Thank you, friend, for your sweet words. You have always been a source of encouragement, information, fun and support in here. YOU also are one of the examples of someone out there living their life to the fullest.....and appreciating that their bodies now allow them to do so. I'm so glad you come back in here and share with us your adventures....and I'm SO GLAD that I got to meet you, and hug you, up close and personal right here on Maui!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Aloha Karen and a belated happy surgiversary to you!  I took at look at your before and after photos today.  You are, indeed, a tall skinny newborn baby screener with a bodacious butt!  What an amazing transformation!

I love reading your posts.  I feel as if I am there in Maui with you - seeing the sunrise, feeling the tropical breezes and having a morning beverage with an old friend.  On some of the other boards, members drop off when they start "living their lives" - but this board is an exception.  We are so blessed to get to share in the successes and triumphs in the post op and maintenance years with one another.

Happy, happy surgiversary!  I hope your day was wonderful!

Aloha Evelyn and thank you so much for taking the time to post. I just looked at YOUR stats, and you have done fabulously as well!! In fact you are below your goal about the same amount as I am. In some ways that's wonderful, isn't it.......we don't really have to worry about eating too much, etc. I still don't eat the wrong things (not too much anyway), but I can consume quite a lot of good things and not gain anything back...or just a pound or two which drop off again a few days later.

This OFF really is a miracle isn't it. I feel so grateful for the people who still come in YEARS after their surgery and share their stories, and wisdom with us. I think that this is the reason that our successes will remain successes and we won't join the ranks of those who have gained it all back!

Thanks & hugs!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
