I had fun with Matthew and Melanie - as always. My daughter won't allow nail polish and Melanie always admires mine. Recently, I got out the Magic Markers and painted her toes and fingernails. Melanie wanted to do it again so I found the hidden markers.
Melanie selected GREEN! She asked to do it herself - she likes to do everything by herself these days. After she completed her own paint job, she decided that Grandma needed to be painted too. I didn't mind having green fingernails and toes.
Then I drew happy face on our finger tips - Matthew's too. We had a game of singing fingers then all of our fingers kissed. I am so easily amused, they are too.
We went outside to play with the hose and the water table. I took a small container of dish soap which caused massive amounts of bubbles. Matthew was delighted with the mounds of bubbles and began to cover me in soap bubbles.
As we played, Melanie started stripping off her clothes. I asked what she was doing? She replied, "Melanie is taking a bath". Naked as a Jay Bird, my little imp climbed into the water. Her parents probably would have had a fit, but I thought she was too cute for words.

morning carla and my OFF family!!!
well we went to see the x files last night...it was pretty good...no alien monsters tho...LOL i am not into the x files but enjoyed the movie...to me it was like watching a robin cook movie...so i guess thats why i liked it so much! AND i FIT IN THE SEAT WITH ROOM TO SPARE!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!! had a nice dinner even if it was nachos...not the steak dinner i was promised but we will do that maybe today he said...we will see!!
today we are going to a car show looking at all the old cars will be fun...also going to kmary to get me a new pair of jeans that i need so bad!!!! then we are going to the storage unit and see if we can find a few things i would like here with me!!! from there not sure what we will do because its supposed to storm here today....nicole (ricks daughter) went to cedar point today with here boyfriend...hope they don't get stormed out!!! i told rick i wanted to go someday and he said i had to go on the rides if we went...i said i would have to see the ride first before saying i would go on it...seeing some of them on tv is just plain scarry to me!!!! i was never a roller coaster person or one that goes on rides that turn you upside down...so whats left there??? LOL
well yesterday i called BJ's and talked to the manager and asked how it was coming about me getting that job there...(they had to post in-store first) she said its looking really good for me and she had to talk to the other manager and would get back to me before the weekend was over!!!!! oh please let me get this job!!!!!!!!! its full time normal hours and benefits to boot!!!!!! i also called the employment agency that i am dealing with and she said she hasn't heard back form the place she wants me to work and her manageris looking into it to see why they haven't returned the calls...she also turned my app in to the other place again and see if she hears back from them monday. I NEED A JOB PEOPLE CALL HER BACK!!!! CALL ME!!!!!!!!!!! i am getting desperate here my money is going fast and i need money to pay the dam bills!!!!!! grrrrrr
carla give eileen a hug for me when you see her and also hope you all have some fun for me while you are all together!!!! i am going to try my best to make it to frankenmuth to see you all!!!! but i can't promise yet because of the job situation...
annette you have way to much fun with your grands...LOL can't wait til anthony gets older so we can have some fun too...grandpa rick is already talking about taking him fishing and also teaching him how to do the BMX bike riding stunks....thought maybe nicole would have asked us to babysit while she went to cedar point but no such luck...sighs...maybe she doesn't know we would like to watch him...have to talk to her about that i guess...
ok having a brain fart here...can't remember who posted about the neighbors...but i am happy i am away from my neighbors that partyed all night long with their yelling and foul language and all...its nice and quiet here...except for the numerous trains that go through!!!!!!!! there is 5 or 6 tracks behind us and man some of them sound like they will come right through the house!!! also why do they have to blow that whistle so early in the morning??????? they don't do it in the afternoon!!!!!!! gezzz

Got to visit with daughter and her hubby yesterday. They had alot of fun on their cruise so that made me very happy. She called when home in Phoenix safe and sound. Said my grandson called from his scout camp in San Diego. All he could talk about was the surfing adventure. He absolutely loved it. Comes by it naturally as my son and nephew are devout "surf dudes." It's extra hard to love surfing for grandson living in Phoenix though..... I'm sure he'll call me today when he returns from his camp.
Annette - I love your stories of nail "polish" with your grands! Makes me want some girls since I have two boys...... You're the "fun" gramma and that's what I like to be, too.
Today is filled with running errands, pedicure, and a nice long walk! I'm going to look into gym membership next week for sure. I've been hesitant to live sick hubby longer than going to work but the treadmill and walking the neighborhood just aren't cuttin' it. We'll see how it goes.

Today is a day of cleaning. I am getting into the closets and they need them! I came home yesterday and Bill had done some of the cleaning in the living room while I was gone all day and before he went to work. He is a sweetie.
Visitation at the nursing homes went well. Got caught up on some of the happenings that they are going through there and had wonderful visits with all of them. Fern and I made the decision that we are going to do that more often even when Pastor gets back and starts doing it again.
We went out for lunch and had some really good salmon patties. I haven't had them for so long and I have been wanting some so bad. Mom use to make them and she had so much patience with all the bones and such but I just don't so no salmon patties here. Mom started making salmon loaf instead and made it like a meatloaf and I liked it much better. Someday I am going to try to do it. I am not going to say when though. lol You use to be able to buy salmon that had no bones or skin in it and I wish that you could still. I haven't seen it here for years though.
I guess I had better get going. The cleaning is calling me and I MUST answer the call. I guess someone has to and it looks like it me. haha I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and I am sending love and big hugs to all. Prayers are being said for everyone and special ones are going up for those in need of them. If you don't hear from me for a long time just send in the troops. Tell them to search the closets first, they may find me in one of them trying to find the way out. Or maybe sitting in a corner of the closet crying like a baby!

Got up early, had my cuppa decaf and went out to the local family restaurant for breakfast.....tried eggs again, and still after 11 months they just don't sit good....maybe I'll never to able to eat them. Was just finishing up when my DS and DIL walked in, so I sat with them while they had their meal. They are leaving for Nashville, TN this morning with 9 teenagers on a mission trip. I'm praying for a safe journey and know they will have a good time.
Then I went to Wal Mart in search of an electri**** cream maker....nope, they were sold out....so on the K-Mart and they didn't have any either, so tried the local hardware and they didn't carry them.....guess I will check online and see what I can find. The gal from Egg Face has some terrifi**** cream recipes that I want to try....very WLS friendly.
We're having a Western style church service tomorrow and
food on the front lawn of the church under tents. It's a fund raising event to help erase the financial deficet. I'm wearing my pink cowgirl hat!
Monday, Carla, Paulette, and Margo will all be at my house for a visit.....I can hardly wait.
It's warm and humid here today....hope it cools off some before the picnic tomorrow.

The girls slept over last night and were asleep by 10, me too, and they slept in this am so it was great. I was up at 7 ( I was so tired last night) and the girls between 8-8:30. They are out with Papa picking tomatoes and watering the garden. They'll be here most of the day, we're going to work on making some stuff for their Barbie's till it's time for them to go home this afternoon. . Hope everyone has a great weekend.
