Sorry I haven't been on here much lately, but have had some family things going on.
Just wanted to share......I HAVE REACHED MY GOAL!!!!!   YEAH!!!!!

Hopefully some of you will remember me at least.....LOL

It feels so great to have reached my goal this time around since I didn't reach it 11 yrs. ago!!!  I'm off all my meds, except for vitamins, calcium, etc.  Now I know what it feels like finally.  Getting off my meds was #1 goal....especially diabetes meds, which happened not long after having surgery.  Reaching my #2 goal of my weightloss was great also, of course!  Many of you know what this feels like already and the ones that are on their way to knowing what it feels like.....never give up.....it will happen!!!  It's such a great feeling!

I'll try not to be a stranger.  I sent you an e-mail too, which I'm sure you'll see when you check e-mails.

Congratulations Candy

Getting off your meds is a huge victory. The weight loss is an added bonus. Good for you and don't hesitate to visit often.

Hi Annette!

I agree about the weightloss being a bonus.  That's what I kept telling everyone before I had the surgery!  Getting off my meds is soooo great!!!  But so is the weightloss......especially getting into cuter clothes.....LOL.  I don't get sleeveless or short sleeved shirts usually because my arms are way to saggy!!!  Hopefully I'll have surgery on them someday.  I usually go with 3/4 length sleeves so they hide all of the hideousness (is that a word?) of them.

I'll try to visit more often.

Thanks Judy!
I know that's it's not fun taking any pills as far as I'm concerned, but it's better than taking diabetes pills that make me sick.....UGH!!!  Our bariatric dieticians are telling us that hopefully sometime this fall that Bariatric Advantage will be putting out the chewy calcium bites like the other company used to make.  That'll be great!  At least I won't have to take those calcium horse pills anymore.....LOL.

I agree.....our life does change dramatically after wls!!!  It's great, isn't it?

hugs

Thank Peggy!
Getting off the meds is a great goal, I believe!  I had diabetes meds that made me sick and that's no fun!  Of course the weightloss is a bonus, but it's a great bonus also!!!

Thanks again, Peggy!
