I hope that Dolly was not close to any of you. I think of all our Texas members and what devastation these storms can cause...please report in and let us know your OK....

My Mom lives in a retirement place in Harlingen, TX.  About 20 miles from Brownsville.  Haven't been able to talk to her since yesterday at 1PM.  But was able to talk to the office at 8:30 PM yesterday- all residents and the building are fine, but the resident phones are out.  Mom has hurricane shutters that cover her 2 windows.  It makes it very dark and closed in, but at least she doesn't have to worry about broken windows.  My Sis and I have been trying to convince Mom to get a cell phone, I sure wish she would!

Anxiously awaiting word that everyone is OK!

Rest easy for me.... Hurricanes don't happen in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

I did see that TerryT (you slumber party gals will recognize the name) does live in Galveston and they got a pretty good lash of it and lost power.

Hurricanes are on the Texas coast.  Linda Barnett would have reaped some rain.
