back from the dentist

That was not much fun. I had an infection under a filling. He said a root canal was not a good idea - so out it came.

I was a nervous wreck but they held my hand and sat with me before, during and after the extraction. Such a big baby, I know it but can't help myself. I was more nervous than before WLS.

It was actually painless but the mental part got to me. I was trembling all over and apparently got very pale. They made me stay there a long time until some color returned.

I just took a codeine and think it is time to get myself into bed.

Yes, thanks - just tired.

I've had that done too ... not fun, but better having it done right away than scheduling it and having to think about it for a week or more. Glad it's over and hopefully you can feel better. (Actually, mine was under a crown that was where the root canal was done two-three years before ... go figure!)

Thank you Eileen. You are right about the anticipation being hard. What a waste to pay for a root canal, then have the tooth pulled!
