I make it using an eggface recipe and my $20 electri**** cream maker. It is awesome. I use Whey Gourmet's Caramel Dip protein powder instead of vanilla protein powder.
She has a bunch of protein ice cream recipes. I've also tried the peanut butter, but the caramel apple is my favorite. Here's a link to her website. The caramel apple ice cream recipe is down at the bottom of the page.

I am so glad Olivia is getting help. That is a hard desease to deal with.
I have a friend that has it and oooohhhhh boy the mood swings!!
I will continue to keep her in my prayers.

I can look back at the women in the family and see the chemical structure that has haunted us. I take 3 anti-depressants, 2 are for the brain pain, but hey, they are what they are.
If I did not have you guys to reach out to, I think I would crawl into my shell and live there.
I pray for you and your family too.
As, for me, I am like that old country song, "I've always been crazy, but it's kept me from going insane".

Hi Linda, I have the same type of depression. It'sType II Bi-Polar. In 3 yrs. I've only had 2 serious episodes. One recently ( hence my absence from OFF). I'm much better now with only a minor tweak in my meds. We are VERY fortunate not to have the extreme highs. They are what REALLY get people in trouble, like runnin around nekkid and robbing banks, etc.LOL I will pray for you and yours as this is something I know how to pray about! Now for my eating stuff---
I wish I could get my emotional eating under control, I'm going to start journaling my feelings every time I eat and try to plan alternative things to do. Nuff said.
B - cottage cheese on ww toast broiled with cinnamon and splenda
L - leftover meatloaf and a Tbl. of zucchini casserole
S - 2 rice cakes
S#2 - melon cubes
S#3 - 1/2 protein bar
D - zucchini soup (very light and Low fat)
I guess it's not as bad as I thought after I see it in print!
