Hi guys, today was not happening for me, so I am home. Fangster is irritable too! I ache and I am gonna relax, I know some of it is nerves. Olivia was diagnosed as bi-polar about 2 weeks ago. However, she is on the low scale and does not go into the highs, the manic part. I say fine, then call it something else!
B- Yogurt L- Italian wedding soup D- Cottage cheese and pineapple S- Banana pudding.
Have a good day, and know that I am fine, we all are really, life is just that...life..
Huggers to all my romper room pals!

Hi Linda,
You won't be seeing too much of me on the boards. Hubby got our computer infected with a virus which will probably take me a few days to clean off.  From what I've Googled, it's a nasty one and won't be easy to get rid of even with a software program.
B - Pure Protein Bar
L - Wendy's Chili with Cheese
S - Yogurt with Blueberries
D - Hubby is having dinner out so I'm on my own.  BBQ chicken and veggies.
S - cup of Vanilla Chai made with 1% milk.
I hope that Olivia finds help with treatment.  Lows are a bummer.
Get your rest and take care,
Bev

Linda, I am so glad that you are home and taking care of yourself. I am keeping Olivia in my prayers as well and you and the rest of your family. Someitmes life is a bummer (in fact a lot of times it is) but we must keep preservering and going forward. Sometimes it is hard but with God all things are possible. Remember you have love here and so draw from the love that we have for you.

Today is a day of being out and about this afternoon. I am going visiting with another woman from the church our shut ins. So I am questionalble about lunch.

B: sf maple and brown sugar oatmeal
L: ?
D: suasage and sauce with cheese (Bill gets spaghetti) and veggies
S: Pure Protien bar and maybe popcorn tonight

I hope that you take care of yourself and try to have a wonderful day. Remember that you are in my special prayers and I am sending you love and big hugs from me to you.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hiya Bren, as I said, you guys are my lifeline, without this column, I would have days of isolation. I work with a lot of people, but stay in mostly at home, except for my little guys who live mere feet away...smile.
Depression runs in our family, so it is chemical. I have always worked, because one most support one's self, Olivia has found this hard to do and balance it with the 2 boys. It has been heavy, I have been so worried she would lose her job,she went back yesterday,so far, so good.
Thank you for your prayers, bless you, and yours.

Linda,

Thanks for asking about Mom.  I took her to get a haircut today.  I had told her about it yesterday but she was surprised to see me when I came to pick her up.  Got out of her chair, walked 3 steps, and said, "Why do I have to go?"

"Because you're the one getting the haircut," I said.  "That's the only way it works."

On the LONG walk out to the car, she announced that she wanted to buy nail polish remover and nail polish while we're out.

We got to the hairdresser and she wouldn't get out of the car.

"You have to get out of the car in order to get your haircut."

She got the haircut and I drove her to Walgreen's (easier than Wal-Mart).  As she was getting out of the car, she froze for a minute or two.

"What's the matter?"  I said.

"I'm peeing," she said.

Good thing she was wearing a Depends.

In Walgreen's she was horrified by the prices (cheapest nail polish was $4.99) but finally selected a light pink.  As she was getting into the car, she said, "When are we going to get the nail polish?"

"We just got it.  It's in your bag."

Back to the assisted living facility.  Back up the LONG walk to the door.  On the way, she said again, "So when are we going to get nail polish?"

Well, this story is long enough already.  You get the idea...
