Good Morning Margo and Everyone....

It is a beautiful day today. I am glad to be back home. I had a wonderful time with my granddaughter, Kyleigh, last week. She is quite the young lady!! She has the best sense of humor....gosh she made me laugh!! Still...glad to be back to my own surroundings and especially my own bed!!

Annette...you are loved!! So glad your weekend was fun.

Brenda......I am sure your sermon went great. The Lord was at your side. What was it on?? I will continue to pray for your pastor and his dad.

Judy...I am laughing at your Bandit story.....a barking bird...soooo funny!! Great job Bandit!!  Say hi to Rick from me. Judy, I sure am missing our emails!!

Eileen....they are closing many, many Starbucks all over the country. I heard they aren't doing so well. Too much competition...Caribou is winning the war!!

Laureen....your relaxing weekend of fun sounds like something I could use right now. Swimming pools and sunshine...two of my favorite things!

I best get back to work. I have plenty to do that is for sure!!

Love, prayers and hugs to all.....connie d

I love Caribou, but none around here. The problem we had here was there were too many Starbucks within a one-mile proximity because some of the grocery stores have Starbucks inside of them, plus the ones in the mall, plus in Barnes & Noble. They are over extended. Don't need that many. But it was nice to have a freestanding one. Gonna miss it. Oh well, there are other coffee shops. Kind like Big Apple Bagels, good coffee, but it's out of the way to the interstate on the way to Chicago.

We have 2 Starbuck's here in Portage. One is on highway 6, then about a mile or so north is one on Willowcreek and then there is one out off 249 by the steakhouse that we went to for lunch, Eileen. You know me~I can't remember jack and I don't remember that name any better than I did when we talked about going there. haha I have never been to a Starbuck's in my life.

Stopped at the one Starbucks near the steakhouse near Bass Pro Shops off the interstate a couple of times now that I know where it is; not sure where the other one is (I almost called Bass Pro Shops Cabela's ... see I can't remember either! just call it a senior moment, I have them all the time too).

I just like a good cup of coffee, whether that's Starbucks or from the bagel shop, whatever is convenient to me. It's just that the Starbucks that is closing near me was easy in, easy out for the highway on the way down to Chicago.

Hi Connie. I am glad that your time with the family went so good. It goes fast though doesn't it? It always feels better to be home where things feel better and so do you.

I named my sermon "Showing Mercy To Others Through Forgiveness" but the title was so long so the secretary asked if she could shorten it to just plain "Showing Mercy" and I told her that is alright with me. Heck I wouldn't have wanted to put that long one on the board out front either! That is the board that hates me with a passion but not as much as I hate it! haha

Janet.....I love Caribou Coffee. Since surgery I can't tolerate regular coffee anymore. My pouch doesn't like it. I can only have the decaf and not too much of that.  It still tastes great. Love the Lattes!!

Hugs.....connie d
