59 Year Old Newbie to OFF!
I had my RNY at age 59 too. Two years ago now, and I've done well. Tried to document my journey on my profile page for others too. I'd suggest you find a good local RNY support group to attend after surgery, or even prior to surgery if a meeting is scheduled prior to your surgery. These meetings offer you the chance to talk directly with other post ops, learn from latest data on RNY surgery, etc. DAVE

me too, me too I'm 59, will have RNY on Aug. 19th after 15 months of doing all the insurance stuff (all you listed plus hemotologist, cardiac stress and 12 point lead EKG, 6 months of dieting in which I had peumona (sp?) twice only lost 23 pounds so almost had to do another 6 months, two paps because first one exspired before I actually got to see a surgeon). I have been reading main message board and just went looking around today and found this wonderful group. So I will look forward to your journey, Helga, another newby to WLS way of life
