We were finally blessed with a Bariatric Surgeon, Watson Roye Jr. MD, in the Amarillo, TX area... his doors open for business on August 1st and I have my appointment on August 8th. I have done and passed all that my insurance carrier Aetna requires; 3 month Registered Dietician program, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist and Psyche Bariatric Evaluation. I am hoping for a Lap RNY surgery date around the 22nd of August ... this will cover the 2 weeks of special diet to shrink my liver and hopefully I am approved with Aetna in this 2 week period. I'll know for sure after I meet Dr. Roye. I thought by joining OFF that I will feel more comfortable with folks my age, and be more open with my feelings. Still kind of new and trying to learn the ropes around OH... thank God I found this site, it have helped with all the questions I had about RNY and I am ready to make this life altering commitment to become healthier and more physically active.
