Anyone else attempting the 10 K step plan?

wow ... this is a lot tougher than I thought it would be. I was out there walking and walking and feeling so proud of myself until I got an "official 10 K step pedometer" and realized I am only getting 5-7 K steps in per day. YIKES! This morning (early) I did 4300 steps then 2 hours later did another 3700 and later I will do the 4300 again. WOW! This is tough for me. I was using a walker just 2 months ago. Now I strictly use a cane.

Good for you, Marti. I may be back with that cane soon. I'm glad someone has good results from their knee replacement. I'm wishing I hadn't had it done.

You are doing just a super job. It is like my wls doctor said~even if you take one step more each day. You are doing fantastic!!!! You should be proud of yourself.

Hi Engel. I have a pedomete also and when I remember to put it on first thing in the morning on my good days I can do 22,000 steps. That doesn't take me as far as some because I am short 4'11" but the steps is what counts. Keep walking and you will get there. I am so busy with my flower and vegie gardens and the mowing that it isn't hard for me to walk a lot.  Birdy

I don't wear it all day just on walks. I will have to try wearing it all day (out of curiosity).
