We have a birthday party to go to this afternoon.
My great nephew will be 5.
I need to clean my sis in law and bro in law will be here this week from Arizona.........looking forward to seeing them.

Well, Ive recovered from my trip..I went by train down to Albany, NY, for four days to attend a business women's conference...I lead six workshops on "resolutions"...sounds boring, doesnt it..well I try to make it fun as well as informative. I had fun too..got time to do some tourist stuff too...we stayed at a fabulous place by Marriot called Residence Inn...wow..we had a Penthouse with a loft!
I was taken to a BonTon store..never known of it before..but they had a sale - up to 70 % off...I found a long skirt..flared inserts along the bottom..regularly $48.00 but I got it for $12.49! I could have bought lots but I behaved myself. Besides..Id come Business Class so I had extra room for my lymphodemic legs but I was restricted in luggage size.
Ive been working on my illustrations..Im almost done two books now with more piling up behind me. Im preparing to go up to the Ottawa Valley in Quebec to a family weekend..about 60 or so attending..a surprise 65th borthday party for my cousin ...he paddled up the St Lawrence River from Montreal to Newfoundland last summer..quite an outdoors kinda guy!
We are taking mother along and she is so excited..especially since she will be seeing my adopted sister, betsy, after 3 years...I will survive this meeting...she is the drug addict that Ive been dealing with for so long..the one who frauded mother out of most of her money before I found out and stopped it. So that part of the weekend is not something I care to do but its uavoidable. But it isnt often that I get to connect with so many relatives at once.
The weather is very strange here..daily thunder and lightning storms and even some hail. Today was another hot and hazy day.
Im struggling still with my weight...feeling fat & ugly most days. and now JB has been making mean comments...that I eat far too much (when he sees me with a huge salad)...he says that it doesnt matter of it "chews down", it's stretching my pouch and I'm gaining all of my weight back"...it's getting me really depressed, Im afraid....both my weight and his nasty snipes at me too.
It's gotten so that Im afraid to eat at all...but I try to eat protein and drink lots of water. I hate feeling this way..I hate seeing myself slide back into that mode where he thinks he can say anything mean to me again. He is angry with me for gaining weight and as usual, exaggerates and verbalizes his anger. All that does is put me on the defensive.
okay....Im done venting.
Now, InfoDIVA is doing well...got two more clients today and another business enquiring about the service this afternoon.
Im almost done a pretty pink crocheted short-sleeved sweater for myself and started a white and beige varigated cotton vest to match my new white and beige cotton skirt..long of course, to my ankles. I bought a pretty white lacy blouse to wear with it since the beige is near impossible to match..I bought TWO white ribbed cotton tank tops with stretchy lace straps and sleeves and I "tea-dyed" one of them to make the beige match....and I bought a short-sleeved white lace jacket to wear with it too...makes a nice cool, summery outfit.
I picked up my new reading glasses..something new..specially coated to reduce glare...special for wearing while on the computer..easier on the eyes...I also picked up my custom support stockings..the second pair finally arrived late from Germany...dont know why they got separated but there was 3 weeks in between delivery of each pair.
I did mother's grocery shopping today and took them over and had supper with her before going home to make supper for the guys too.
I made them grilled cheese sausages on toasted sesame seed buns and broccoli salad but I couldnt bear to even taste.
Well I'm caught up with emails and Facebook and won a few games of euchre so Im going to try to sleep now...I have no plans for the weekend and Sunday's WLS support group meeting got cancelled..guess I will do laundry, artwork and housework...Derek will be home in an hour or so from his "bouncer" shift.

Nancy, it's so good to see you again, we miss you when you're not around. Sounds like your business ventures are doing really well, but I'm sorry about things at home. Just seems sometimes we can't get both parts of our lives in balance....something's always just a little off kilter. Hope it works out for you soon!
I have so many knitting projects started and no motivation to finish them. Your little crocheted jackets sound wonderful.
Today is my Friday WOOOHOOO. Tonight the salon owner, massage therapist and I are going to the Miss Arkansas pageant. One of my clients is a finalist and we want to support her. I've never been to anything like this, so it's going to be fun. Besides, how much more of a "girls night out" can you get than a beauty pageant?

Nancy, always good to see you! I am so sorry JB is being so negative.
I have no major plans for the day except to go to the adoption event and hope we are inside as it will be quite HOT today! Not sure what I will do after event besides take a nap, but that will probably play highly on the schedule. Sipping a cuppa chai right now and enjoying the peace and quiet. Probably will head back in for a while (to bed that is!) andlay down at least. exciting life yes?

Today is a dark and wet day. It is just raining and raining. Nothing heavy but just enough that you couldn't go out in it without a umbrella. It is going to be hot again today and I think tomorrow too. Then it is suppose to start cooling off some. I guess we need the rain but I like it so much better when the sun is shinning out and looks like summer. Maybe the rain is going to help my petunias folliage look green again instead of the icky yellowish brown that it is looks like now. The flowers are beautiful but the icky folliage makes the baskets looks ugly, or at least to me.
I am getting the brakes done on my car this morning. Our nephew is going to do them. Gees, with the cost of everything I would be screwed if David wasn't here to do things like this for me. While Bill has many fine points working on cars in not or has ever been one of them. In fact when Bill tells me that he has been thinking about something with the car it scares me to death!! lol
I went to bed last night and watched television until about 1 and then fell asleep. I got up at 4 for a potty call and then could I go back to sleep. Heck no! So I have been up for about 3 hours now since it is almost 7 in the morning now. I sure hope that this insomnia thing isn't back again. I hate it when that comes and shows it's ugly little head. I know that you all understand just what I am saying. We just had this discussion not to long ago.
I am going to Wal Mart later on today and get me a slip and a pair of panty hose that fit! Yes~I am planning on wearing a dress to church tomorrow. That is something that rarely happens around here. I thought that since I am doing the service in the morning at church that I would wear my "new" dress. The one that I got last week end at the rummage sale. That ought to shock the entire church. lol I thought that I might as well wear it since I am hoping that it won't fit for to long. I better get some of my $5 out of it. lol
Nothing new here to report. Just the same old stuff but a different day. I just wish that something would happen to perk my day up some. But I guess it is what it is and I should be happy that my life is so easy. I guess if something happened it might be something that I didn't want to happen. I should be happy with the way it is now.
In a few weeks we are going to go camping in Middlebury. A group of us from the IN board are meeting at the KOA campground since one of the members and her husband own it. We meet for the week end but Bill and I are not going to be there on Friday since Bill works afternoons. It is about an hour and a half drive from here to there. I know that Floyd and Brenda are going to be there too. I am so looking forward to meeting them. I am not a camper so we got a cabin and that is the most "roughing" it that I get. lol We have to take our own bed linen and such and the bad thing is there is no bathroom so we have to walk down to the public one. UGH! That is not appealing to me at all. I am now getting up to go during the night and I am not looking forward to walking down there. I am a real woman and so I will do it. lol Besides if I waited for Bill to walk down with me the whites of my eyes would turn yellow (and not from jaundice either) and then I would just float away! lol
I guess I had better get going. I have gone on enough. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone. I am saying special prayers for those in need of them.

It's raining here too.....I just got back from weekly grocery shopping at Wal Mart....with coupons I only spent $57
so I was pretty happy.
A gf and I are going to the Elkhart Co. Fair tomorrow
in Goshen, Ind. My surgeon's partner, Dr. Baker, has a
southern gospel singing group made up of his and his wife's families and they will be performing at 2 and 6.
They are calling for a 50% chance of rain -- hope it doesn't. The heat doesn't bother me, but the humidity
does.
Nothing planned today - going to read and take it easy.
Did my house cleaning yesterday afternoon.

I am an avid camper and just go with the flow. We have rented the KOA cabins in the past and it is so much fun. We are going to rent one for a week in December on Medira Beach with our friends
All you have to do is pack a tote with the toiletries, Towel and flip Flops. You dont want to take a shower in bare feet!!!!!
The KOA bathrooms are so clean it wont matter.

Today I am off also. We are going to get out of here in a few minutes and go exploring. Not sure where we are going to go but we shall see.
Last night we went to an outdoor concert that was at the art center . It was outside on the lawn and was a lot of fun and dancing. The sun set was just beautiful
Well gearing down in order to fly to Chicago on Saturday of next week. I cant wait!!!!!
