new to here

I post in a few other boards but was looking around and found this board...hi...my name is Charlotte or Char....I will be 53 on july 25th, and am preop, and have my first visit with the surgeron on tuesday, three days before my birthday...just wante to say hi!

Hi Char, And welcome to the best board on OH.  I'm a Leo too!  I will be having my 56 b'day on the 31 st of this month.  There is alot of great support and friendship on this board. pop in frequently and you'll get to know us a little better, and if you post from time to time, we'll get to know you too.  Again, Welcome. 

Hi Char and welcome!  I am relatively new to this particular forum but the one thing I have found in the short time I have been here is that this is a WONDERFUL, KIND, SUPPORTIVE group of people.   You won't see the anger/attacking/snipping in this group as we are old enough to know that that kind of behavior is a total waste of time and energy.  Welcome aboard and best of luck at your first DR's visit.... and a early happy birthday!

thank you all...I am going for the VSG procedure....and I feel so welcomed here....thank you!

I have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren, 6 cats live in the house where I live and I have an almost 3 year old golden retriever named rachel!

Char, welcome to OFF. I post also on the IN board but there isn't anywhere as friendly, loving and helpful as all of those on this board. I am so glad that I found it. Please post often so we can get to know you and you us. Good luck on the doctor's appointment and also a very happy birthday early to you.

Hi Char, Welcome to OFF.  I don't post often but this is my favorite board.  We both are seeing our surgeons on the 22nd.  Hope yours goes well.  I have been on a pre-op program required by my surgeon and also insurance.  My 6th month is Aug. After that my surgeon will send papers to the ins. co. for approval. Once approved I can have the surgery. Hoping I can set a tentative surgery date at that time.
