Thanks Eileen -- you're such a sweetheart!

Your zucchini bread has just come out of the oven and if it tastes as good as it smells, it will be "delish". I added a
few things...... 1/4 c. flaxseed ground, an overripe mashed
banana and a little lemon flavoring.....will let you know how it tastes!! I'll have to try the blueberry pineapple bread too....pretty sure I have that recipe, if not, I'll let
you know.

Hoping to get blueberries week after next....that's when
they will be ready to pick here....and no, I'm not going to
pick mine....too lazy!!! LOL

I don't pick mine either; I buy mine ... too hard to pick; too hard on back, knees, etc.

I add cinnamon and vanilla to my zucchini bread, plus crushed pineapple ... adds a little extra moistness and flavor. Everyone loves it and they don't know it's healthy stuff.

kathy; i've been meaning to comment-i think it is great that you are experimenting with different styules of wood and texture etc in your new home!
i think the guest room sounds wonderful...when would you like me to try it out?!

seriously- i think it sounds great and would be worthy of some photos when you are done?

i don't seem to have any style" anymore...early dumpster it seems! and with trying to declutter and depersonalize to sell; we are looking pretty shabby and i don't mean chic!

i love the country cottage-y look ...and i enjoy distressed white wood(michael detests it!)  tho i also am leaning toward mission -except in a couch-too stark for me! i grew up with very victorian furniture and so i get very confused when i look at furniture- what do i like vs what can i afford and what is comfortable! i cringe every time michael sets a glass on one of my mother's tables- we were never allowed to "use" it....!!!!!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Hi Margo. Mission style is too boring for my tastes, LOL. My old house was very traditional, with some Victorian features in the living, dining room and bedroom, and a little country cottage in family room, guest room, office and hall bath. I only really changed the family room furniture - because the scale of the room was so much bigger. Even before moving I was going to get a new daybed in the guest room, but I wasn't looking at black. It came today and is just scrumptious! I also changed from a skinny metal bed to a wooden one so it is so much more substantial and really a piece of furniture! Can't wait to get the bedding on it tomorrow!

I can sympathize with the decluttering for selling. For me it was like taking away the personality of the house! But being a single woman, I know the men would say the house was too fru-fru for them. But gee, they're not buying my stuff, just the bones of the house!

My, I'll bet you have some beautiful Victorian pieces from your mom! Bye for now!

Good morning everybody!
Carla, what are you doing up at 12:15AM?  Or had you just not gone to bed yet?  Sounds like you are going to have a fun time on your trip.

I HAVE TO BRAG!   My grandson's baseball team are NO 1 CHAMPIONS!  They won their game last night.   Talk about some happy kids.  And happy parents, grandparents, friends. My grandson had one whole front row (11) people there last night.

Not much going on with me.  Just working.  I still have my lovely cellmate next to me at work.  She finally after 3 months decided to start talking to me.  But I keep an eye on that knife that might go in my back, so I am very careful. I think my boss is getting sick and tired of her, but my boss doesn't have the gumption to do anything about her.  When she has nothing to do, which is most of the time, she sits at her desk and plays solitaire on her computer.  What is funny though, she sits on the phone talking to her husband and/or kids and says how she likes to keep busy and likes to make sure she has something to do and then insinuates that I don't do anything.  It's kind of funny I have work to do and if I don't , I find something to do. And it is not playing solitaire.  I have come to the conclusion she is bipolar.  I never know what kind of mood she is going to be in.

Well, better get going.  Need to get to work.
Have a great day everybody!

Mickey

No it is Connie.  But they do ryhme.
You were lucky, she quit.  Mine will never quit, she likes to stay around and cause trouble.  She made herself unwelcome on the first floor and they don't want her back, so we are stuck with her up here on the second floor.  She should have been fired a long time ago.  They had something on her and some how or another she wiggled out of it.
One thing I have on my side is the majority of the people know what she is like, so they know it is not me.

I bet those boys still have huge smiles on their faces today.

Hope your shoulder blade gets better.

Congrats on the No. 1 Baseball leaguer grandson!  That's special!
