Just wanted to say "hi" to everyone. Very glad to find a mature forum with gals and guys with the same mind set. I'm 54 and as of last Sunday have lost 116 lbs. Is there any older WOW here? LOL!!!!

Welcome. I'm 53 and feel like I just turned 15. One of the good things about wls is we finally get our lives back and can go through life as it was meant to be as a participant and not a spectator. Again, welcom.

Hi, I am 62 going on 40. Living the new lifestyle is what it is all about. I am # 1 at my local YMCA in fitness points for he month of July for my age bracket and I don't intend to let anyone pass me by. Who would have thunk it!

I'm 54 and having surgery on July 31. Welcome, it's nice to have people who are ahead of me in this process for support and to answer questions.

I'll be 72 in two weeks and am hoping to have the lap band surgery sometime this fall. My first interview with the surgeon is the end of September unless she gets a cancellation first. I was turned down for it by another surgeon about 2 years ago so am not holding my breath, but I have 150 lbs to lose and have just been diagnosed as pre-diabetic so hopefully my the surgeon will do it and my HMO will pay for it.

It's a great place to hang out. I'll be 56 next month (yikes!) and just had surgery in June.

Wow for you losing 116 pounds! Congratulations.
