Ass shots anyone?
Jeannie, We've all missed you. Your recent reappearance on line causes me to reflect. Can it just be two years ago that we met up in Mountain Home? I was basking in the wonder of the results of WLS having just seen the "1" at the beginning of my weight for the first time in a LONG LONG time. I brought along a suit and we (Jan C and I) coaxed you into it by saying "Who cares what anyone else thinks? It will feel so good. You will feel so light and free." Wasn't that a wonderful couple of hours.
Now two years later you and Jan are both smaller than I am!! That doesn't bother me. I feel wonderful and know that I can continue to lose if I'll just get back to basics. I am so happy for both of you. You are FREE from the entrapments of all of that excess poundage.
I so want to wade in those crystal clear streams with you searching for beautiful stones. When we moved I hauled several pieces of my mom's petrified wood with me. I have two huge driftwood pieces from her yard in storage also. They will have prominent new homes in the yard at our new place.
Here's to hoping we can get together again in the near future. I still dream of a little motorcycle tent trailer to pull behind my car. (Sorry, Jan don't think I'll be on one of those Gold Wings. I'll leave that to you and Joe!) Hugs,
Karen C
Oh Karen,
I'll never forget that meeting. That swim suit was the first one that I had worn in years and years. I had, if you remember, been swimming in shorts and shirts and all of the weight of those clothes were killing me when I got out of the pool; plus, I could never get the shirt off because it stuck to me and I always managed to pull my arm and neck muscles trying. I wore those suits all summer and even in the winter at the university pool. Now, they have new homes with not just one wls person but she passed them down to another and soon she will give them to another.
Just the other day, I was showing my rocks to a friend of mine and I cam upon the petrified wood and other rocks you sent me, I had to tell her the story of our trip to Mt. Home. We did have a good time, didn't we?
YOu probably have many more muscles than I and that could account for the weight difference. I sit all day and my only exercise is walking. You, on the other hand, go all the time. I bet you have legs of steel.
Speaking of good results to the surgery, my son is down to 270 from 450 and he just had surgery in January. He spends two hours a day working out and he's a guy and he's young, so that makes him the best candidate for this surgery.
Well, gotta go, I need to find me some protein.
