TGIF so What's new? It is FRIDAY July 11, 2008!

Good morning Debbie and my OFF family, Today I have the grands and we are taking them bowling. The girls have their own bowling balls, Cheyanne does really well for being 6 (90's) and Samantha well...she likes Papa to help her.... about half way thru a game she gets tired, so she switches and helps Nana cheer!  It is supposed to very hot and humid here today so we'll have to do inside fun things. Samantha wants papa to make homemade ice cream, he found a couple recipes using splenda so we'll see how that goes. Otherwise we send the real stuff home with the girls.  Have a great day everyone! hugs, Paulette

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Today I'm going to my sewing group. I just started back after an absence of about 7 months. I really enjoy the gals and the creativity they have. I've been altering some of my clothes. I tried on one blouse and it was too big... thought I had taken it in... OMG I did. LOL It's pitiful if I have to wash, dry and take in an outfit each time I have to wear it. LOL Love the weight loss. Over the fourth I had a few pix taken to add to my profile... well, they are still in the camera. I need to figure all this stuff out. sigh, Millie

Good morning OFF'ers. At least it is still morning so that is a good thing.  Nothing much going on here. Still at the church office and today is the last day. That is a GREAT thing. I have had an office full of people visiting and chatting and now all is quiet. It should stay that way for the next hour.  I am going to go through my closet today to get rid of all my clothes that are to big. That should elimanate most of them. haha The IN board has a clothing exchange every few months and next Saturday is the day. I haven't been to one and we are planning on going. I will go through all of what is in the closet and I should have a few totes full of stuff.  I went to Wally World yesterday and got 2 pairs of capri's. They are in a size........are you all ready for this?......... a size 12-14. I never thought that I would fit in that size. I think I wore that as an infant. haha I got a pair of faded blue denim ones and one in a khaki color. The blue ones are a a smidge large but not to bad. I knew when I looked at the 8-10's I would never fit my bod into them! The khaki ones are just right. I also got a shirt at the marked down price of $3 and it is a size 16-18. I have always had a smaller bottom than top. I basically have nothing but a gut from the waist down! No legs, butt, or hips. I look like a upside down pear! Then Bill has been moaning about the fact that I don't wear my watch and I told him that they never fit my wrist since it was so big. Well, I looked around and found one for me and I bought it. It has a marcasite band and a mother of pearl face and I knew when I looked at it it was calling my name. So..I bought it and I love it and best of all is that it fits the wrist and it still has room. I guess some of my 40" came off my wrist and that is good.  I guess I had better get going. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are being said for everyone. Special prayers are going up for those in need of them.

Brenda: Congrats on the smaller sizes! That's so great. And I know all about the wris****ch falling down the arm. I have an expansion band watch and had to get links taken out of it because it was halfway down my arm the first year after surgery. Enjoy your rewards!

Hello Debbie and Everyone......... It is now 1:00PM and I am finally getting a chance to post.  A very busy morning in deed!! Sounds like everyone is doing well.  Debbie G....glad your toes aren't to painful. Loved the part of your post about the Crocs....so cute! Brenda ....wooohooo on the smaller sizes!! Well one crisis averted for the weekend......didn't know until this noon whether I was going to have company for the weekend, and I have carpet cleaner coming tomorrow.
They finally called and said they aren't coming - and even tho' I would have loved to have them, I'm kinda glad.
Now if I can figure out what kind of "light" dessert to serve my Book Club Sunday nite, and if the storms don't
wash out my sister's hog roast tomorrow, we'll be all okay!

My co-worked surprised me today with a cute new top
as a reward for my weight loss......what a friend, huh?

The new "lighter" hair looks pretty good.....altho' on top it's nearly all lighter and the back has more hi-lights.

Need to start cleaning .....

Pat....sometimes it is best that company can't come. We love having them but sometimes are better then others!! Thanks for the lovely comment. I finally can accept that I am tiny!! Wearing 2 and 3s and even one pair of size 0 jeans!! This is fun!! I have a light and refreshing desert idea. I will look it up and post it here for you. Delicious and so easy to make. I'll try to get someone to take my pic tomorrow at the hog roast.....You are my inspiration, Connie. We started at almost the same time and you've past me up big time.
I will get there and I think because I am older, it's just going to take longer...don't care, I feel healthy and everyone says I look so good.....LOL.....well, as good as one can look when you're my age and have so much loose skin!!!!

Think I will make an angel food cake and serve it with
s/f lemon mousse....but will take a look at your recipe too.

Pat, I see big time changes in your face. I'm sure your body is showing that too. Not only do you look much younger, you look more confident and happy! I've hit a major stall and am trying to get myself focused back on what I used to do so well. I started this week. Walked one mile yesterday and 2.5 today. Will try for 3 tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll just stay away from the scale for a week or so and just do what I need to do and see what happens.  I liked it better when I had no appetite and had to just force myself to eat. I'm back to stuff actually tasting good again. . . . Grrrrr. . . . Reminder to self: Self, eat to live, don't live to eat!
