Morning to all Debbie - keep the tootsies propped, wear the crocs, feel better. Big hugs from me. I have always hated to shop for clothes but have made a discovery - MEN'S Boxer Shorts. They are great for sleeping/lounging with a t-shirt or a tank shirt for the top. It has been so much fun to find the different patterns and materials. The selection is endless.  Yesterday I bought two pair of silk ones. A black paisley and a red one. (Why are the called a "pair" of shorts? That's a George Carlin type of question.)  We were outside as he planted some new flowers, he turned to me and remarked " You hussy - you are outside in your underwear". I sure was and in the Winter I wear my flannels to the grocery store. Tom is getting a kick out of this. As soon as I get home, I rush to put on my boxers. Quite the wardrobe change from the usual feminine style nighties of the past. He thinks I look "cute" but never thought he would be in bed with a person wearing boxers. Oh giggle! Time for work then an afternoon with Matthew and Melanie. Annette

Annette, I hear ya about the boxers and other casual sleepwear.  George likes me best in my camo flannel pants, wool socks, and a big Zephyr's T-shirt (sloppy, but apparently cute )!  His hunting/fishing buddies get a kick out of my fishing wardrobe - authentic fishing pants with zip-off lower legs turning them into shorts, an authentic fishing shirt, safari style hat, sunglasses and ratty old tennis shoes.    Deb

Debbie, I guess that over the years, their tastes quite change a bit. Good for us though. Annette

*~*~*~*~*~*~* ANNETTE..... Thank you... I've been looking for a pattern for tap pants (style from the 40's) I didn't think of boxers... they would be about the same style. wonder if they come in flowers or cutesie prints (hee hee) ... a baggy shirt and loose shorts.. yeah, I like that. Millie

Millie, The assortment is endless. The fun fabrics and patterns are often on sale too. It is hard to imagine most men wearing some of these - I just laugh at the thought.  Annette

Well,

today I'm going to get the kids, pack up the car, and head to Kansas.  I know, I am not in the mood for a trip, especially with three kids, but I need to attend my son's baby shower.  We know it's a boy and from the little ultrasound, he looks like me.  Iknow, that's another amazing thing and his brain is filled with my multitude of brain cells and I think he is going to be tall and have blond hair and green eyes.  Okay, the blond not like me, but the green eyes, mine.  Anyway, I won't be doing much of anything until I get back Sunday.  Although, I'll take my laptop and hopefully, I'll get a little writing in.

Jan, if you read this, the shakes are kicking my ass.  I am getting so sick that I've hurled at least twice a day.  I am not mixing them with milk, nor soy milk, and the mixing with water or juice, just made me cry.  What am I going to do to get the protein that I need.  No, for all you nasty minded men out there who offered me a protein shot.  Okay, that was sick.  Maybe no one will read this.

I can't handle the protein shakes either. I've been using Profect, these tubes of concentrated protein- 25 grams per tube. I drink the tube down, chase it with water, and though I don't "love" it, it is bearable. I think they might have it at GNC but I order mine online at Profect.com... Julia

Julia, the only protein drink I like is AchievOne Latte ... tastes like a coffee drink ... the perfect breakfast -- 120 calories, 20g of protein and caffeine, too! Love 'em! Everything else is too sweet. My nutritionist really frowns on protein drinks anyway ... says you should get all of your protein from food unless you can't.

Julia and Jeannie GNC makes 2 strengths of Protein "Slams", that have either 25 gm of protein or 45 grams.  They're clear liquid and mix well with sf fruit drinks like Crystal Light or sf Koolaid.  I can't drink them down without mixing them, but even 4 oz of other liquids make them fine. After 2 years, I still hate the powdered protein shake mixes... Candy
