Good Morning again!  I fell asleep in my comfy chair about 9pm tonight until about 11:15 pm and then watched a movie, now going to head to bed.  I took tomorrow off and it's probably a good thing I did.  The toesies are not painful, but sore and the dressing is bulky enough that I can only get my crocs on.  Hmmm, good slacks, nce top and beat up crocs, what the site eh?  LOL!  procedure went well, I have 2 stitches for each toe, one in front and one in back.  He opted to do a front slice and dice too, didn't say why except that I surmise cutting the back tendon wasn't going to do it all as well as he wanted. No real pain, just discomfort.  been ok about keeping feet up (how boring is that?!!)  go see one of the "boys" tomorrow (his partners) and get dressing changed.  Then meeting up with 2 long time GF for dinner, we have all ended up with WLS. I was the first, Diane is the one that got me to Dr Lane but ended up with a DS in Mexico! Debbie just had hers (RNY with Dr Lane) in November and is now doing well.  She ended up with H-Pylori in the residual stomach, almost bled out and had to have the stomach removed.  She is doing well now.  (thankfully!)  We meet every few months and share "war stories".  WE all work at the same facility and became friends back in 2001 while working on a project together.   So, that's my news what's yours?  SPILL it!

A gracious good morning to one and all! Debbie, so glad you're not in too much pain with the tootsies, foot pain can be miserable.....if anyone knows, it's me. How did your friend do that had her surgery in Mexico?  I always cringe when I see someone post that they are going there, so many horror stories, but a lot of good results too. Such a tough decision. We had our support group meeting last night and it went well. I did get some volunteers to help with the Walk From Obesity, and it turns out we have a "Walk Team" meeting on Monday.  The Chairperson failed to tell me that she's asked the coordinators from other facilities to help out.  Of course I'm pleased to have the help, but wish she would have told me sooner. Maybe my hair wouldn't have been on fire!!!!!! Having a great day at the salon today. I'm trading services with one of the massage therapists, she gets color, I get a massage. Then I'm working the whole afternoon on my client who is a contestant in the Miss Arkansas pageant.  Highlights, cut and nails. Hope it does the trick, she's a wonderful young lady who is actually prettier inside than out. Ok gang, that's about it from me. Hope you all have a dandy day!

Susan, I was very dubious about my friend going to Mexico also.  She went to Hermosillo I think it is called, I forget the docs name, but she (x-ray technologist) said it was one of the cleanest nicest hospitals she had been in.  She loved the surgeon and she has done well actually .  He could not make her common channel as short as he wanted to as upon doing her surgery discovered her bowel was shorter then normal already and he didn't want to have her life tied to the toilet.  He told her she would not lose as much weight or as fast as most DS patients.  She of course was very bummed by that and I think her total loss has been about 80-90lbs.  She weighed much less then I did at the start, I think around 250 so she is holding about 180 I think now, she has regained some as most of us tend to do.

Just remembered the docs name, Dr Ungson.  She really was impressed with him and I must admit he seemed to know what he was doing.

Good morning Debbie and Friends! What'd I miss?  I didn't know you were having something done to your tootsies!  I'm glad you're not in pain.   Feeling a tad better today.  The boss left me a note that he's taking a vacation day today!!!  Yes!  Peace!  I get to wrap everything up without him in the way.  I might even get to leave a few minutes early!  One quick stop at Walgreens and it'll be home to finish last minute packing of my carry on bag.  Mickey, here I come! Hi Deb and my OFF friends: So Deb, what was wrong with your foot? I guess I must have missed something. Ingrown nails? Bunions? Hope all is OK.  Not a whole lot going on here. We had three reviews last night so I didn't get home til after 12:30 p.m. It was starting to sprinkle at that point. I don't think we got much rain but it's still dreary out ... which is nice for me because it means I sleep later since the sun doesn't shine in my windows. I was pretty deep in sleep when the phone woke me up about 11 a.m. ... telemarketer or bill collector, don't know which, but this is a call that's been on my phone a few times in the past couple days. Once, I picked it up, it said to hold on for a call, so I did and then it hung up on me. How rude! Anyway, I had my AchievOne (I had run out but got resupplied recently and the health store guy gave me the case price that I used to get from the old manager, Jeff. Then we started talking about other protein options, and I told him about my zucchini bread with the AnyWhey protein ... I may make some this weekend provided my zucchini isn't too mushy (it's now two week old) ... I told him I'd bring him some. He's really nice (and no, not my type, he's married) ... we swapped financial horror stories one day ... his house was foreclosed on, his electricity was shut off, etc. ... so I guess my problems aren't quite as bad. Miss Diva just came into the computer room ... must've smelled the coffee and is rubbing up against my legs and purring for a taste. She got a little taste and now she's getting some food (the cats' bowls are in the room too, as well as a litter box).  I am so looking forward to a weekend of doing nothing much ... jus****ching baseball, reading and puttering around the house. I have a recipe for "Sante Fe burgers" from the grocery circular that I'm going to try. They sounded good. Bought some ground sirloin on special a while back and stuck in the freezer, so I pulled that out to defrost. I'm not going to use buns, but the rest of the recipe is good.  Well, that's all for now. Have a good day.

People are finally  starting to notice that I'm losing wieght!  I mean, I've only lost 63 lbs. I went to a sports store on Monday, to buy an Arizona Cardinals jersey, because my son and I are going to take a road trip at the end of the month and go up to Flagstaff AZ to watch the Cardinals at training camp. So I thought I needed to get a jersey.  Well, I picked a 2X and a XL to try on(I used to be a 3X) The XL fit just fine!  I was so excited!    I'm finally beginning to see the fruits of our labor.  I am going to have to get new clothes soon, as everything I have is getting kinda baggy.  I find that I don't like baggy clothes so much anymore.     huh?
