Are you really a Clutterer?

freecycle is used around here--my problem is that A) many of the things i wish to part with are valuable (= cost lots)so i am not "giving" them away and B) more importantly...i need to clean the clutter-sort the boxes...pack the keeper stuff....i have some collections of stuff...i don't need them...i have boxes i have not fully unpacked since i left first hubby in 1999......and i have junk!

i'm sorry, bev,,,,joyce mentioned freecylcye yesterday on the other post and i just am so tired of ppl thinking that freecycle is my answer--it is a wonderful cause and i do use it to give and to get (when i get lucky!)...as you see from my frustration ,...this is deeper.....and i apologize if i jumped on you! didn't mean to!!!!

I know your frustration.  Our basement is terrible and every time I go down there I turn around and come back up.  Unfortunately, our two car garage is full too. We can't park our cars in there.  We had our household goods, then we inherited all my husband's grandfather's house and contents, then we bought my husband's parents house and contents after they passed.  So we have three household's worth of furniture and "stuff".  Some of the stuff is "antique" so we can't give it away either.  I want to have a giant "estate" sale but I can't get hubby to buy into that.  He thinks everything is priceless.

I wish I had time to read this now but I will tomorrow, I think I will print it out. I am a horrible clutterer/pack rat.   I am trying to weed out stuff.  I had a garage sale last month and got rid of some stuff, we are going to repeat that next month. I watch clean sweep on TV and almost wish they would come to my house.  Only if I lived in Souther California.......oh well they would never come to central Nebraska. Barb
