When men look

I may have made his day, but he made mine too. LOL  Hubby really seems to enjoy the attention that he sees me getting, but I think he reacts a little too possessively.

I don't know but my Italian husband thinks it is great when other men look at me......he is not very worried...and I am the real friendly type. I always think men are also just trying to be friendly....except one day when I was walking in the current pool and this man kept talking to me..even though I really just wanted to walk and listed to my music......and then I realized he wa****ting on me.....been a long time...then I noticed that he hits on a lot of women in the pool....LOL...Got to love him for tryin'. My sister-in-law was out to lunch one time with two other girlfriends [one of which was a former Playboy Bunny] when..and they were talking about the problem of men hitting on them....and they asked my beautiful sister-in-law what she does when men hit on her......she said "I don't know men don't hit on me"...they were shocked.....but I think perhaps we subconsiously send out some signals ......for approval ...that men pick up on and misinterpret ...they are ever alert for opportunites. Enjoy Marti

Marti,

I'm one of those really friendly types too, but sometimes there's a difference in responding to someone friendly as opposed to a pickup line. LOL   Hubby isn't really jealous but lately he has been acting a little to possessive.  I just chaulk it up to a little insecurity.  Some times the extra attention makes me a little uncomfortable; whether it comes from strangers or hubby.  LOL. I still have to get comfortable in my own skin.

Don't ya' love it?!  I am always so surprised when that happens to me.  My husband loves it too.  He never gets jealous.  He's just happy for me that I've come so far.  I especially like it when men half my age are attracted to me!  Wanda

I feel both ways--sometimes I like it, other times I'm not so sure.  It is one of those conundrums of wls that we all deal with differently.  Some of us handle the attention as if it is a precarious occassion while others run with it.  My friend, who had wls a month after me and who has lost all of her weight, left her husband of twenty years.  She used her share of the equity in their home and bought new boobs and got tatoos all over her body and left her job as a nurse and now works as a bartender in a biker bar.  Her new beau is half her age and they dress in matching biker clothes.  I love her but I still worry that when she finally wakes up from her dream, she's going to be hurting for her long lost security.  Maybe not.

I loved your story, especially when you said "why are you acting so f-ing weird..."I could almost hear you. My 19 year old daughter is a real cutie and when we are out together I am used to guys drooling and almost walking into walls while they are staring at her...a couple of weeks ago we were at ...Walmart...and she started laughing and I said "what?" she said "Mom, didn't you see that guy?" I said "what guy?" She was like "you know what guy!" and I really didn't !!! but apparently some guy was looking at me like they usually look at her...she got a huge kick out of it!!! I do notice people speak to me and look at me where before I was invisible. I know lots of that is them but I also know I wanted to be invisible so I'm sure sent out not too friendly vibes. You guys are great! Cheryl

Cheryl that is so funny.  My thirty-year-old daughter and I were at a car lot and the guy in the lot was in his forties and she said, "hey that's my mom."  I said, "What." She just laughed.  Later she said the fortish guy said, "hey, is your friend married."  LOL.  This is definetly a trip.

Isn't it great fun....wooohoooo!! I notice it alot too. I get all kinds of comments. My friends think it is grea****ching these guys ogling me. Last night there were two guys that were hitting on me. I kind of liked the one last summer but he ignored me when I was heavy. I lead him on and then told him off in front of his friends!! I let him know I was the same person no matter what size I was a 22 or now a 2. I let him know I had no respect for him at all. A woman at McDonalds today was really mad. Her husband said something about me being an attractive blonde. She dumped her 32 ounce drink over his head and then walked out of the restuarant. He sat there in shock. I laughed my butt off as did others around me!! Men are crazy!! Hugs, connie d

I even caught one man checking out my shrinking backside! Isn't it amazing? lol

I also notice that more people (M & F) are speaking to me and being nicer in general. But I think we LOOK HAPPIER and more inviting ...
