What's New ~ Tuesday

Yeah, it really chaps my butt to hear that comment. One of my coworkers used to spout that ... Miss Skinny Amy who never had to worry about gaining a pound in her life. Everytime we had a story in the paper about our bariatric surgeons doing something, she would complain about how "we" as taxpayers were paying for the obese people to have this surgery through the insurance companies. So when I had surgery, she was the one person I didn't tell. Now she can't be nicer to me since I lost my weight ... wouldn't give me the time of day before.What a hypocrite! How did she think I was able to lose my weight ... through healthy eating and exercise? Yeah, that was part of it, but it was obvious to me that I needed the help of WLS and those bariatric surgeons she criticized all the time.  Thank God for those bariatric surgeons and their skills ... I probably would be 400 pounds by now without them!

Good Morning Joyce and Everyone...... I am sooooo behind today. I always wake up between 5:30 and 6:00AM. I never have to set an alarm. Today I slept until 10:20AM. I was in shock!! Guess my old body needed it! Yesterday I had my appointment and cat scan with my Urologist. I now have a cyst on each kidney. My doctor said they both look hollow and are nothing to be concerned about.Then there is the growth on the one kidney that has not changed at all. That is the one they are watching so closely. This is a new doctor and a new(third) opinion. He is from The Mayo Clinic and practiced there the last 30+years. He is in agreement with the other two doctors. We need to watch it but he said we need to just leave it alone. He also said they could do a needle biopsy but he isn't for it. He said sometimes that makes things worse. Once you puncture the growth the cells can spread....if it has any cancer cells at all it could make it worse. Right now he doesn't think it should be disturbed. They will continue to watch it closely. I cannot have MRIs because I have a metal implant in my ear. Next check up they will do an ulta sound. However, he is having another doctor look at the scans. If he feels I need one sooner they will be contacting me. I need to leave it up to God from here on out! Today is my Mamogram.....UGH....what a way to spend my birthday. Oh well.....we know how important they are. After losing 118 pounds it is bound to look different!! Hope that turns out A-OK. I am going out to dinner tonight with friends and some family. That will be a good time. We are going to a Mexican restuarant. Everyone have a blessed and wonderful day. Prayers to all and special ones to those in need, especially Lora and her family.
