Hi, Girl Friends
I sat down at the desk to pay thoes pesky bills that were waiting for us when we got home. The puter was on , and of course I looked to see how every one is doing this afternoon, I'm a thinking the bills will just have to wait til the vacation story gets told.
We left our front door on June 17th. drove up to Mammoth, spent the night. Hit the road before sunup on the 18th. We wanted to be in Susanville buy the early afternoon. Our Oldest Grand flew out that evening , going to New York. I got there in time to go with her Mom to take her to the airport in Reno. Long day , but fun. Thank's to My WLS, I can go til the cows come home.
At 8:30 am, on the 19th.Our DD, had oral surgery. She truely hates to have her teeth worked on , so she was given a knock out drug. While the work was going on, Momma( me) held her had. She may be 41, but she will always be my baby. Another long day. The youngest grand and I took care of a very sleepy DD, she woke up once at about 6:30pm, ate a small bite and went back to sleep for the night.
The next day the Momma and Granny went to pick up a new puppy, the youngest was still in school,
We came home with the cutest Lil' ball of black fur. He is a glourious mix of fluff and wirehaired something, he will be small, but boy,he has heart.
On the 21st. the honey man took off for the Great Sandy Desert in Mid Oregon. He went to a gathering of Flintkappers, ya know, arrowhead makers and rock gathers. Guess where I stayed. You are so right. Comfy in a airconditioned home. The man of my life was gone for 6 days, no phone service out there in the boonies, so I took it on faith that he took his meds and eat right, he has Diabetes, and this was his first time without me bugging, ( that is,taking wonderful care of him) So I was kind of a pain in the behind about his care and feeding. I have 44 years vested in the guy, I plan on keeping him around to bug for a long time.
This is getting long, so I'l cut to the exciting stuff. Honey got back. The A/C in my Lil' yellow truck went out while the man was driving her back to the Calif. border. Took her in for repair, didn't last. We drove home at night, 12 hours, windows rolled down. The youngest grand came home with us, so we needed to keep her coolish, her mom would never forgive us if we fried her brains in the heat. Took the truck into the dealer this morning, a new a/c tube , and $ 350. we are now fixed.
So glad to be home. We are making plans to take the grand down to San Diego, she has never been to the beach.
We have kayaking plans , Maybe Zoo plans. We get to keep her for 2 weeks before her Momma and Daddy come drag her back home. Hugs and more Hugs , You were all missed,

Was he by any chance in the "Oregon Outback" as it's called? We took a trip down south of Burns, OR through the Steens Mountain area. What phenomenal scenery! Even with the fires of last summer it was extraordinary. One of these days we'll make it to Susanville at the same time! Doesn't look like we'll get to go this summer. Too much going on around here. Did you ask your daughter if she knows any Sargents or Clarks in Susanville? My cousins. . . George Sargent just sold the Grand Cafe after many years of his family owning it. I love that place. It's like stepping back in time!
