Okay, here I am bringing up the rear again.   It is good to back and reading everyone's posts. Judy, I am missing something here.  Who is Rick and why are you in Wickliffe, Ohio? This evening I went to the memorial for my friend's husband.  It was a little different, not having a body there since he was cremated. But lots of pictures and a video.  He must have liked Elvis.  They played 3 of Elvis songs.  Peace in the Valley was one, MY Way and then Precious Lord, Take My Hand.  That is a hard one to listen to.  But Elvis does such a good job. And then he was in the Air Force, so they did a little thing with the Honor Guard and gave the family a flag.   Afterwards, the family provided a dinner for friends and relatives.  That is what the kids wanted to do.   Not much else going on.   Pretty tired after work and then the memorial. Take care and have a good day! mickey

Good morning Lora and all, I was awake but Tom and I sit, chat and have coffee in the morning. The furbrats had a restless night which means I did too. They took turns walking on my face and giving not so gentle nudges. I forgot to refill their food dish before I went to bed and the poor things thought they were starving to death. Tom and I drove to Seneca Lake and walked along the shore. It was so peaceful. After a bit we stopped at a little cafe, overlooking the water. He had a beer, I had two big glasses of water and a coffee. The waitress asked if we wanted anything to eat. I drooled at the Molten Lava Chocolate Cake. Tom grinned and asked how many bites I thought I could eat before I turned into a volcano? No thank you, I passed on the cake. It was a relaxing day. Have a great day. Annette

Annette my son, the chef, makes molten lava cakes!  I can eat about 1/3 of one.  George is very happy to finish the rest for me.   Deb

Debbie, It must make you proud to have a chef in the family. That's a much needed occupation - people always want good food. Oh Hell, we want BAAAAD food too.

Yes Annette, I am proud of him, his sister and brother, and our in-laws.  We have a chef, a nurse (younger son), and a horticulturist/biology professor (daughter who is now working with autistic children - kind of out of her field, but it's what she could get in Joplin).  Our SIL is a college English prof., and our former DIL is a middle school teacher.

Hi Lora and all, Just a quick note to say good morning. Gotta get up to the treadmill as I went a bit off track this weekend and need to get back in gear. Not too much new, wish the weekend was still here. Like my job but love being home at my house and just hanging out there. Have a great day all, Cheryl

Good Morning Family,     I don't have much to say so it won't take long ...lol. It's a beautiful day here temp is 75 at almost 9 am. Sunny and a light breeze blowing as well, it's almost always breezy here but that's because our little sand bar sticks out into the Atlantic Ocean about 31 miles - total length is 62 cuz it's curved like a bent arm. We're at about mile 22 from mainland on the inner curve, inside Cape Cod Bay.     Today I have housework type things to keep me busy and then walk to the post office later. I may sit down on the porch and do some beading later or finish a book... or both.      Tomorrow is crafts day at the library, we're preparing for a bazzar this Saturday, which will be fun I think.      See you all later... hugs and smooches......

Good Morning Lora & OFF Family! It's so nice to see you posting, guess there is a side benefit of family being away ;), though knowing you, you probably are or will be missing them like crazy!  But their being gone, gives us the opportunity to see you regularly! Anyway, I am suffering sleep deprivation due to stressful home situation, I took two melatonin's last night at about 12 and I think I drifted off about 1, which only gave me 3.5 hours of sleep and the night before I only got about 5 hours, so today is going to be challenging, but somehow I'll get through it and I have to get my butt to the gym tonight as I did not make it this weekend, other than the 5k on Friday, I was a bad girl!  Did I mention to you all how exhilirating it was to cross that finish line and that I really liked it, I have a new addiction, but at least it is one that is good for me! Well just got a call that my co-worker will not be in today, but I have a feeling it will be another quiet day here, as last and this week are usually quiet ones, so I'll check in later to see what you all are up to! Kathi, stalls are a part of the journey and they start as early as 4 weeks out, so just do what you need to and the weight will come off, take those measurements monthly and the pictures too, they will tell you more of what is going on than the scale ever will! Judy, hope a job comes your way in a hurry. Pat, sorry to hear you are feeling lonely, maybe that Nelson reunion will be a pick up for you and did you ever try par boiling the chicken, pouring whatever marinade in it while it's still hot and letting it marinate for about an hour or so before putting it on the grill, cuts the grill time for sure as well as making it more flavorful. . . Susan, looking forward to hearing your "big fish" stories and wedding too! Annette, Dillinger drove me nuts last night, he has a skin disorder of some kind, nothing they can do, but he is subject to hot spots and he made a mess of his back paw, so I have to put that big old lampshade collar on him, he hates me for it, but he'll never heal if I don't do it and just like a kid, if I leave it off and leave the room for even 2 minutes, he's licking and chewing on it, so last night I help into my bed and he lies there and whines and whines and whines, until (as if I weren't already having a hard time sleeping) I just had to get him off the bed and close him out of my bedroom, he hightailed it up to my roommates bedroom, where I think is where he wanted to be because he is crazy about her boyfriend, whom I refer to as Dillinger's feed bag, since Kevin is always giving him stuff, anyway, love my boy, but sometimes he is a royal pain. . .  hugs. . . Oh, well, off I go. . . Prayers, hugs and positive thoughts, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen
