Good morning to you sweet Linda.  I am so glad to hear that Olivia and the grands are seeking help. I am keeping them all in my prayers. I know that you wish you could do more to help but sometimes they have to go through that pain to come ahead. This is going to be a growing and learning experience for them. We just have to remember that we can't "fix" everything for those we love and care about so deeply. I guess they need to go through bad times in order to grow. We all know that growing is a hard job and we hate to see them go throught the "growing pains".  I know just what you are saying. I have been so busy the last couple of days. Today is a stay home day and I am so glad for that! I am pooped out! I start working in the church office this coming week and so that is going to make me tired too since I am going to have to get up to a screeching alarm clock and I hate that! haha Today Bill is cooking out~the first time in a while. We have been so busy. He is making double bacon cheeseburgers. I told him to make mine single and no bun. I have to buy the bacon and the buns and I have to get sf pudding and milk to make a dessert for my best friends daughters jewlery party on Tuesday. I am going to have to make it since it is to sit in the fridge for at least 24 hours but it does better if it longer. Her fridge went out and so I have to take it when I go Tuesday night.  Here it goes with the menu for the day. Nothing exciting but it is mine I guess.  B: yogurt with High Protein Special K mixed in. It is good~different but good.  L: bacon cheeseburger w/o the bun and grilled onions and veggies D: who knows S: not sure of that either Take care of yourself today. I am sending you love and hugs and keeping you and your in special prayers.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi Linda, Sorry to hear your family is having a tough time.  I hope that therapy can help a lot.  Sometimes we need to hear another perspective and sometimes we are too close to give it, get it or be heard.  It is such a release/relief to be able to unload it on an uninvolved person even if the third party can't make the problems all go away.  That is why sometimes giving it all over to God helps so much. I've been away from the boards because I hosted eighteen family members on my husband's side to a picnic on the fourth.  Our Nephew, his wife and three kids came from Ohio.  My son, dil and grandkids came from upstate NY.  Since I'm not such a good daily housekeeper it takes me two weeks of intense cleaning to get ready for everyone.  Then there is the meal planning, shopping and preparing ~ you all know.  Everyone had a wonderful time though.  They all left this morning, I've stripped the beds and I'm doing laundry now. Bill's knee replacement date got pushed to Aug. 12. from July 28.  He can barely walk now.  I hope he makes it until then. My eating has been hit and miss.  I didn't eat anything until 6:00 p.m. on the fourth with my running around.  And I've let the desserts slip in.  At least I made them with sugar free/fat free puddings and lite Cool Whip and fruit. Today~ B - Pure Protein Bar L - Sharp Cheddar Cheese with RF Wheat Thins D - Chicken S - fruit Take care, Bev

Linda, I'm so sorry you're going through family problems.  I must have missed something.  I'm glad they are seeking professional help.  My prayers are with you, Olivia, and the grands. B - (we're on the same wavelength) egg, with onion and cheese.  It went down so well, usually I have trouble with scrambled egg.  I used 5 egg whites with 2 yolks, 1/2 small onion cooked in a tiny bitt of butter, and some sharp cheddar - plenty enough for George and me. S - protein shake L - what started out to be beef and bean enchiladas turned into a Mexican casserole.  I got lazy and didn't feel like rolling the enchilada, the filling was too soupy anyway.  Topped with cheese and fewsh tomato. S - banana with peanut butter D - leftover grilled catfish and garlic mashed taters from lunch out yesterday and small amount of salad S - protein shake HUGS and LOVE Debbie
