What's new Sunday July 5, 2008?

Dear Annette, It's hard to conquer our self-image issues. I still see the old fat me in the mirror sometimes, although she's not there. I don't have the issue with eating that you do, though. I eat quite well, thank you, probably a little too well, judging from the scale (up 6 pounds from my appointment a week ago, although I believe that's water weight, because my legs are swelling again). Anyway, our self-image issue is always going to be a problem with us. It's hard to get rid of the fat image in our mind. It's ingrained there. I'm glad you realized you need help to deal with it. You are so lucky to have a guy like Tom to listen to you and help you to that point. I hope you can find a therapist who is trained to deal with anorexia.  Tears are our body's way of cleansing a lot of things, and they're good for us. Our family and friends don't like to see us cry, but it's helpful for us to do so. it gets rid of the bad stuff in our bodies, I really believe this. Sometimes  ya just gotta cry. I did my share the past couple months, I know, and boy did it feel good. Here's a big cyberhug coming your way. If you ever need to talk, I'm here during the day and available with an open mind and open ear.  Sending lots of love your way.

thank you Eileen, Too bad this wasn't brain surgery. There is too much old baggage still floating around in mine. Silly me, I thought I had worked through most of it but apparently not. You are too sweet and much appreciated.

Sis, Thanks for baring your soul, perhaps in doing so, you are on the road to a full recovery.  I certainly pray that is the case, as I so love you and want you to enjoy the rewards of having changed your old way of life to a healthier one.  Addictive personalities are extremists, but the good news of it is that people can learn balance, it is not without effort, but the first step to all change is recognizing there is something amiss.   May the love of your Tom and family, as well as your OFF family help you see yourself as the wonderful woman you are.  I admire you so much, as I do many of the fine people on this board, I want to be like all you all when I grow up (lol). . .   Hugs, warm wishes and lots of prayer and love is being directed at you by me, Laureen

Thanks Sweety, Ahh - balance - good concept. I think I have been practicing juggling as opposed to the delicate act of balance.  I haven't read far enough ahead to see the results of your race. I am so proud of you for that great feat. Let me go peruse the boards to see how you ran. Hugs Annette

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fantastic 4th. We had rain off and on here all day yesterday. I have the baby back with me. So 4th of July activities were based at home. I could see fireworks of some type outside my office window last night. I think he was really glad to see me when I picked him up from his other grandma.  N is still in the hospital. Both her doctor and I have "informed" the hospital staff doctors that it is time to stop this in and out crap. Figure out what i making her feel badly and fix it! LP and I will visit her later today.  Flea market and cleaning are my main agenda for today. I really need to sit down and work on my class at some point. I may have to opt to drop the class. I just can't seem to get the proper time to work on it. Have a great Saturday!

Yeah yeah yeah, it's Saturday NOT Sunday!  As soon as I woke up this morning I thought, UH OH!  I am going to be slammed for this one!  LOL!  I told ya 'all I was tired!  It's Saturday and I am ready for guild, just have to gather the basketweaving stuff and head out the door.  It's about an hours drive for me.  Anyway, keep the ribbing as gentle as it has been and I'll be fine!  LOL!  What can I say?  It is Sunday someplace!

Good Morning, my wonderful OFF Family,

I'm been missing in action on the boards so long, that I hope when I send out the new OFF Directory in a couple days, that it will refresh your memory on who I am.  I'm sorry I didn't get an updated version out last month, but I'm working on it this weekend.

Work has been so overwhelming lately.  My boss only has two more weeks before he transfers to Columbus and they haven't selected his replacement yet.  I have so many things to get done before he leaves too.

Last weekend our Indiana group went down south to a gathering at Holiday World (an amusement park and water park) and had such a wonderful time.  Before we went to the park, we all met for breakfast.  There were 19 of us.  Once we got to the park, we took a picture of all of us that had WLS, and the 7 of us had lost over 1400 pounds.  I can't wait to see the picture that was taken and will post it then.  It was sure amazing how fun the amusement park can be with so much less weight.  I'm not a roller coaster person, but Brenda sure had fun going on them.   In the afternoon we went to the water park and had a fantastic time.  A couple years ago, I wouldn't have been seen dead without a shirt, but now....who cares.  Life sure has improved.

Saturday night after we got home from our trip, my back went out and I could hardly get up or sit down in a chair.  I went to the doctor on Monday and he gave me a steroid shot, which sure has helped, but I'm still in plenty of pain.  He thinks it is my sciatica nerve and if it doesn't improve soon, he'll want to do a MRI.  My back and leg is really hurting today.  It's terrible getting old.  LOL

Well, just wanted to say Hello.  I'm gonna get busy on the Directory.  Look for it in your mailbox Tuesday or Wednesday.....I promise.

WELL THE BBQ WAS GREAT YESTERDAY!!!! I GOT A BAD CASE OF THE RUNS BUT WAS OVER WITH BY THE TIME WE HAD TO LEAVE FOR THE NEXT BBQ PARTY AND THE FIREWORKS!!!! WOW!! WHAT AN AWESOME FIREWORKS DISPLAY HERE!!! I WAS IMPRESSED!!!!! HAD A COUPLE OF RICK'S BUDDIE****TING ON ME AND HE WAS GETTING SO JEALOUS...LMAO I LOVED ALL THE ATTENTION!!!! WE GOT HOME ABOUT 1:30 THIS MORNING AND HE IS STILL SLEEPING...HE LOOKS SO CUTE WHEN HE IS ASLEEP...THATS MY GUY....SUCH A SWEETIE PIE!!!

GOING TO MEET ONE MORE OF HIS AUNTS TODAY...WE SHOULD BE LEAVING IN A LITTLE BIT SO I BETTER NOT RAMBLE TO LONG HERE...LOL

THE WEATHER IS SO NICE TODAY...LAST NIGHT I WAS GLAD I TOOK MY FLEECE JACKET TO THE PARTY BECAUSE WHEN WE GOT HOME I WAS CHILLED TO THE BONES!!! I COULDN'T GET WARM....HAD TO SNUGGLE REALLY CLOSE UP WITH RICK TO GET WARM...HE WANTED TO TAKE ME TO ER TO GET WARMED UP AND I SAID NO WAY I WOULD BE WARM SOON ENOUGH....WHICH I WAS.

I BOUGHT ONE OF THE DISPOSABLE CAMERAS YESTERDAY AND HAVE A FEW PICS ON IT AND SOON AS ITS DONE I WILLGET IT PUT ON A DISC AND WHEN I GET MY PC UP AND RUNNING I CAN SEND OUT AND MAYBE GET ONE OF YOU TO POST MY NEW FRIENDS AND MY NEW SURROUNDINGS ON MY PROFILE.

MONDAY I TAKE BANDIT FOR HIS BATH AND HAIRCUT...RICK WAS ALSO CALLED BACK TO WORK SO I WILL BE ALL ALONE THEN TIL HE GETS OUTOF WORK. I GUESS I CAN APPLY AT SOME OTHER PLACES WHILE HE IS WORKING AND I AM WAITING FOR BANDIT TO GET HIS MAKE OVER. I MISS WORKING AND I REALLY MISS MY OLD JOB!!! I WISH ONE OF THE HARDWARES WOULD HIRE ME!!! I KNOW THE ROPES THERE LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND.....OH WELL SUCH IS LIFE...NEW BEGININGS AND NEW WORK SITE ARE IN ORDER I GUESS.

WELL I BETTER SEE WHATS GOING ON FOR OUR TRIP TO SEE THE FAMILY. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY!!
