what's new Thursday?
morning!
we had horrid thunder and litning and rain storms so my comp was off- took roxie out and actually cooked some breakfast so i am later getting online-
no-you're not hogging! you're just bein a piggie!!!! (jk!!!)
so--yesterday's atty appt was another exercise in futility--we could have covered everything in a two minute telephone conversation rather than the "to do" about going to the office and meeting face to face-- because we are(michael is!) still receiving medical care it would not be prudent to settle anything..end of story. dang....understood and accepted but the limbo is just getting old...so--we wait....
that put a damper on the remainder of the afternoon for sure.....
then the storms started!!wow- i really thought we would have trees down in our backyard!! -we have black walnut and box elder back there and the elders have lotsof "old" wood
today , after my 4 hour work day ends , i'll pick up michael and we head to where i do the blood plasma--a good lunch and some "goodwill" shopping and then i 'll do the plasma thingy...i rearranged the schedule so i don't give til 5 so we can hit the restaurant at the lunch (reduced price) rate-it's a buffet....i love the variety and can do well there with small portions of things i don't get at home! and michael is a wolf when he eats....
friday hopefully a gal is coming about the bird...saturday am i give plasma again an dthen no other plans yet....
somewhere in there i hope to see fireworks! love em!!!
catch up with a few peeps and enjoy the weekend.......
at our lil post office, there is a parkbench inside-and some good folks put magazines or books that they are finished with there for others to read..i bring home goodies sometimes that way-yesterday there were vc andrews paperbacks-i loved her series of the flowers in the attic--so piggie me brought home the books-have no clue when i'll ever read them!!!!!!! i do read during my plasma donation but only for an hour! what is anyone else reading? besides brenda that is??(hehe!sorry brenda!! you know you are sposed to be reading for church!!)
are any of us OFFers in the Big Sur area? wow-horrible news out there....made me reminisce about our louise-she must be busy fighting fires...hope she is ok.....many of you may not know her!she's not here much!
i have a question for the day of sorts--
when you read the thread and post...so you read all of the replies on it? do you go back during the day to check to see what else was posted??? somedays we end up not posting til end of the day and i wondered if ppl then have any clue what the endofday posters had to say? that is something missing since we don't "recap" anymore!!!! i mean, if someone comes on and posts at the endoftehday about whatever was inmportantto them, it would be nice to know that others are still reading!! or do you read in the morning and go about your day nevertoreturn????
i know-i need a life!!!!!!
thanks for the good wishes for my gramma....
hugs and prayers to all.....
and for me-tgif!!!!!(hey-if linda can do two tuesdays and two saturdays i can do an early tgif!!!!!!!)
In answer to your question, I try to check throughout the day, but sometimes just can't. There was a time when I'd be on the 'puter nearly every spare minute. Being on the 'puter all day at work, and most of the night takes a toll on my poor eyes. Something had to give, and since I NEED to work well...
Debbie
Margo that is why i dont post much anymore, seems like people only care about what is happening to a few and not everyone. i have posted several times that i have not gotten a response, dont know if it just gets lost and no one reads later in the day or if they only care about a few

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
jan i don;t think it's that ppl don;t care...i think sometimes many of us read everyone's threads and just go-oh-so that's what she (or he) is doing, ok.......tho i will sya that there are days i feel like i am invisible if i don';t act like a pain in the patoot to get attention!!!! that's why some very fear ppl call me the brat!!!!
I read through everyone's stuff all day long when I have a chance ... most of you guys post well before me, so I try to respond when I can. Don't always respond to everyone individually sometimes only in one post. Don't mean to slight anyone. Jan, I love reading about your gardens; I just know I can't do anything like your undertakings (the condo police wouldn't like it for one, and two, my knees wouldn't like it ... my replacement knee isn't working as well as yours).
What a night!!!!! It stormed here most of the nite with high winds and a lot of lightning and thunder.....one crack of thunder just about knocked me out of the bed! Around 8:45 we had a hail storm -- our entire front deck was covered with big pea size hail....awesome. Not so good for crops and gardens, tho'.
Have a load of laundry going and another small load waiting ....have a hair cut appt. at 9 a.m. and need to eat breakfast yet.
I returned a box of probably 20 books that had been given to me last yr when I had my surgery....came home from their house with 25-30 more......good thing I like to read!
So I actually got out of the house yesterday afternoon and did some visiting.....I need to find a "friend" so I can get out more often. It's no fun going places by yourself.
The fireworks are tonite here in Sturgis. There are two places to go -- the airport where they have a deal called
"Ribs on the Runway"....there are all kinds of games for kids, and vendors plus a "Rib" shack where you can get food and drinks. This deal is a "little" pricey. Then my son's church which overlooks the airport, is having "Dogs on the Driveway".....they will serve hot dogs, popcorn, and cookies all for FREE, plus you can sit in their back yard and watch the fireworks. . . they also have three bands that will be playing before the fireworks. Last year they had over 1,000 people come to their "deal".....my big DS
is in charge of this event. I will probably go there....looks like the weather will co-operate.
Otherwise I have absolutely nothing else planned for my four day weekend. How about that?
Better stop gabbing and get something to eat. Hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.

P.S. wore my new size 18 black/white top to work yesterday with a pair of white pants and my boss said I looked "sassy". woo hoo!
