first-----there is this studly lookin bull on the envelope so you have matched my elsie cow!!!!! then a  darling card and then and then and then OMG OMG OMG you have taken me back to being 6 or 7 years old and summer was fun and the world was good ...my parents were still married and life was exciting and kids played outside til dark and didn't worry about anything except maybe that "the Russians are coming"  and where did we leave our silly putty?????  and you sent me....... OMG -FIZZIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and root beer to boot!!!!!!! my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! jeanb where did you ever find them???????? and thank you so much for being such a wonderful caring listening friend/sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cannot think of anything that could have topped that gift from you and the wonderful feeling i had when i opened the envelope!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you my sweet jeanb are a true gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you for being mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I thought You would get a kick out of them... We have a store here called Hollywood Candy, it has all the old candies. When they first opened I bolted in looking for Fizzies, but the gal had never heard of them, I was so disappointed.  I was down town this weekend with D/D and we stopped in and I was talking to a lady in there telling her how sad I was they didn't have them,, she said yes we do.. Bingo. I think everyone in the store was cracking up I was so excited.. When we left the store I had to crack open an orange one and pop it in my mouth making faces as it melted on my tongue, taking it out now and then to hold it in my fingers until my eyes stopped watering. Then back in. Yes I was a 6th grader  again walking down the warm street. Last night I had a glass of root beer made with my beloved Fizzies.. They arrived early !! you were suppose to get them tomorrow..

oh it is just so wonderful!!!thank you so much!!!! wow......................

I DONT MEAN TO BE PUSHY OR BUTT INTO YOUR CONVERSATION, BUT I GUESS I DID. SORRY.
WE HAVE NEVER SPOKE BEFORE, BUT I HAVE LURKED HERE ON OCCASSION. WHEN YOU SAID YOU FOUND FIZZIES MY DENTURES NEARLY HIT THE FLOOR... OMG.

 I DID RESEARCH ABOUT FIZZIES AND ALSO WATCHED A PROGRAM ON THEM TRYING MY HARDEST TO FIND THEM. THE GUYS THAT BOUGHT THE RIGHTS TO THE FIZZIES WENT OUT OF BUSSINESS I THINK IT WAS IN 1991 OR SOMETHING AND SAID THAT NO ONE WILL HAVE THEM. 

NOW YOU HAVE FOUND THEM AND I WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU KNEW IF THEY HAD A WEB SITE? I GREW UP WITH FIZZIES AND LIVED ON THEM IN MICHIGAN AND FOR A WHILE I WAS STILL ABLE TO FIND THEM HERE IN CALIFORNIA UNTIL THAT SCARE ON THE RED DYE THING CAME OUT AND THAT WAS THE END OF THE FIZZIES. 

WOW HOW MUCH FUN YOU BOTH MUST BE HAVING WITH THE FIZZIES. JUST THE NAME BROUGHT ME OUT OF LURKING TO TAKE A SHORT WALK BACK IN TIME. WHAT A WONDERFUL FEELING THIS HAS BEEN.

jodi...this is certainly not a private conversation--thank you for joining in!!!! the fizzies that jean sent come in a small two pack-the packaging is different than the original but expectedly! there is a website listed tho i haven't checked it out yet--get ready-it's so easy! whodathunk? fizzies.com  you know what goes first! ahhh what a wondrous walk down to the childhood memories!!!!!! the "lanes" were so much friendlier in childhood....and life was simpler and fizzies were the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! where in mich did you grow up???i was born in jackson, we summered near there at clark lake.....til i was about 12....... please don't go back to lurkdom!!! please stay out and play!!!!!!!

Margo Thank you so much for the warm welcome,Thank you also for the website to the fizzies. lol fizzies.com go figure..lol I was born and raised in Kalamazoo Mich. stayed there till I was 12 years old then my father was transfered to a papermill plant here in Calif. That once we got out here closed down. Thank goodness he got lucky and was able to work at Hughes Helicopters that eventualy became McDonell Douglas Helicopters and he worked there until he retired. Your so right about the times being better back then. I remember when I would take a few pennies and run up to the liquor store and buy a bag full of candy. I can remember taking pop bottles back to the store and when they would put that nickle in my hand I felt rich. LOL We would play out under the street light till late at night with no worries what so ever. Those fizzies were wonderful with our picnic lunches outside on the blanket with the neighbor kids.  Then a wax bottle of juice and a chocolate cig. LOL Penny candy was the way to go. I loved those days. My son wishes he grew up in those days, just because the times were easier. He wants to take his family out of California and move to Tennessee. He thinks the livin would be easier and he would be able to afford a house.   I wish everyone could go back in time and experience it first hand. I think the world would be a better place if we could live like that again.  Well I have to go watch my grand daughter, She's 2, I'm sure you know what damage can be caused by that age. LOL. And if I don't stop talking now I will have type a novel.. I can babble for hours if not restrained..   Thank you again for the web site  fizzies.com and the warm welcome to your post. I have a Jody who I haven't seen or heard of in over 7 years, he is my "Jason", You know what I mean Margo)The 2 small packages that I sent you came just like that, the root beer ones I took out of a bigger box of root beer that I bought. i typed my post with joy in my heart and then read it aloud to michael and was so choked up i coculd hardly finish reading it!!! i cannot believe how wonderful the gift and how thoughtful -and fun!-you are!!!! the posts to tease and the cute envelope and card...the whole works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and when are you coming to ohio??????? or-can you come to frankenmuth????? pat r and i have room for 1-2 more in our room!!!!!!!! and about your jody-yup-hugs!!!!
