Linda,
One nice thing about a new day is that it starts with a clean slate. Here's to a better today. kisses
61 degrees here and I am miserably cold. The neuropathy seems to be getting worse and the sensitivity has increased.
What's eating me today: dumb people!!! I halfway expect stoooooooooopid comments from nonWLS folks, but surely not from the ones who have had it done.
One person no longer calls me by name. She calls me "Skinny". If she leaves a phone message it is " Hey Skinny, call me". That is so irritating and her call is never returned.
People poke and prod me to feel my bones. Hands off without an invitation. Only one person gets an invitation to that party! He had exclusive rights and the license to prove it.
You are well aware that I get testy about people being in my plate. (okay, *****y) Some people from the support groups have e-mailed me to start eating at Burger King and McDonald's to gain weight. They ought to know better than that.
I am done complaining. Bet you are all glad I kept quiet yesterday when I was in a really bad mood. Just imagine the crankiness then.
Thanks for listening.
Annette
Ah Geeze Annette,
Stupid people are so so well...STuPID!
You can ***** and complain all you want...You do it so wittily that it is always a good read...hate to hear about the unhappiness it brings you but just know I don't mind you writing about it AT ALL!
I HATE when someone calls me skinny. I had a resident at the apts that was not a nice lady and she had a way about saying "hey skinny" that was not nice at all. Once she even puffed up her cheeks and put her hands in fists and kinda held them out in a ( shape and said, "bet you like looking skinny than like you used to look" (then did the puffed out cheeks and arm thing) what a rude witch. She was not "elderly" either.
Take care dear one,
Cheryl

I'd be complaining too if I were you.
I too HATE it when people touch me without a danged good reason (administering the Heimlich maneuver or CPR is OK, poking at my bones is NOT).
And the senior warden of my church, who ordinarily is a very sensible woman, has taken to calling me "Skinny Jean". The first time, it was kind of cute and certainly a novelty (nobody ever called me skinny before). But then she went on repeating it, over and over, like a mantra or something, until I felt we both looked foolish.
These are people from WLS support groups who are advising you to eat fast food to gain weight? That amazes me!
