I had a phone interview!!

Yippeeeeee! I had a phone interview with the vet's office that I put my application in last week. He talked to me about 10 minutes and it seems to me it went well. He asked me if I was ready to work 40 hours since it had been so long since I have. I told him that I feel that I am ready to go. He told me that they got a lot of applications and he went through them and picked out the ones that sounded like the best ones. He is calling them for a phone interview and then he is weeding them out again and go from there. That must mean that my application was a keeper in the beginning. Hooray! That is a plus. We talked about animals and asked if I had a pet now. I told him about my Misty and how I am very much a dog person. I told him that I remember having my first dog at the age of 3. He seemed amazed about that. He asked about computer knowledge and I told him that I am not super proficent on the computer but if someone shows me something I can usually get it pretty fast and some things I can figure out on my own. He said that they use a program for a animal hospital and it is pretty easy. He asked if I had put my application in a lot of places and I told him no. I had put it in a few places in the last few weeks. He asked me why I would like to work there and I told him that I wanted a job as a receptionist, wanted to work full time and I loved animals and so when I saw this ad I thought to myself that this would be perfect and what could be better.  Keep your prayers going for me. I want and need this job so badly. I am putting it in God's hands. If it the job I am suppose to have then I will get it, and if God wants me to have something else then I will find that out. Whatever it is that He wants for me.

Ohhhhhhh Brenda, this sounds good. I'm so happy for you. My fingers are crossed and my legs too (hee hee) I'll even send up a prayer or two. I know you will do well where ever you work. Best Wishes ..... Millie

Millie, my only concern with you keeping your legs crossed is if you have to go to the bathroom. There might be some problems there with that one. haha Thanks for the good thoughts and the prayers. I know that they are going to come in handy.

You know what, Pat? I felt so comfortable with this interview. I have noticed that I am more at ease with myself since the surgery. I guess it must be the self esteem thing. What do you think? Thanks so much for the good thoughts and the prayers.

Paulette, I feel so positive about this job. I am just afraid that the positive feeling is just me wanting a job so bad. Your prayers are definitly needed. You can never have to many of those.

I'm so happy things went well. Sometimes it doesn't matter what your experience level is if the boss likes what he hears. He wants a people person who will relate well to the clients, and that definitely is you. Good luck!
