Good morning, Millie and all my other OFF family.  Nothing much is happening here today. I am just sitting and looking at t.v. and chatting with Bill. Just the same old stuff but a different day. lol I am planing on staying home today with the exception of getting my scripts at Walgreens this afternoon. That is about it.  I have to get reading the book that I need to read for the Pastor Parish Relations committee that I chair at church. We have to do a evaluation of the church each year and this year they decided to change it. Now in order to do it we have to read the book "Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations" and it is as boring as it sounds. haha I have to have the evaluation into the district office by September 1st. Oh brother, what I wouldn't give to not have to do this stuff.  Misty is looking out the door and it is such a nice and sunny and cool day. Just the way that I like them. She is watching for the all the birds and sea gulls but I haven't noticed them today. Nothing much happens that gets past her. She is Miss Eagle Eyes! Bill is only 5'9" and so he is a midget to some of the hubbies around here. I now weigh less than he does and that is something that has never happened before. I have always weighed more than him. Now I hold that over his head and he hears it often!! lol I can't imagine him ever lifting me up. I remember that my daddy use to lift me up when he came home from work because mom would tell me when he got home and I would get up on the kitchen chair and when he hit the back step I would start singing "Sugar in the morning, sugar in the evening, sugar at supper time. Be my little sugar and love me all the time.". I would be singing that when he came in the back door. We did that every day and then he would pick me up and carry me into the living room and put me on the couch. That is after we did our kissing ritual~one that we did every day until the day he died. We would kiss 3 times, rub noses (eskimoe kisses) and then kiss 3 more times. Now I am crying~I miss him so much. I miss my mom too but dad and I were so close my whole life. He has been a very important part of my life even though I was only 15 when he died. Gotta get off this subject......... My petunias are still blooming on the back patio. I have 2 big baskets of purple ones hanging on a double shephards hook. When the wind blows just the right way the smell of them comes into the house and just is wonderful.  I guess I had better get going. I have rambled on long enough. I am sending big hugs and love to everyone. Prayers are being said for my OFF family eveyday and special ones to those in need. Have a wonderful and blessed day everyone.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Monday Monday.. I had a triple shot coffee on the way to work and I am flying high. Not sure this stuff is legal. And wouldn't you know I bought it at a hospital coffee cart. I went with Liz to her "confirm the pregnancy" appointment today. She asked me to go, but it was just pee on the stick, confirm the pregnancy and have appointment made for high risk clinic. I am afraid I am getting excited and I just don't want to until she gets through a first trimester, whats a grandma to do? My other daughter , the one who had the C-section on the 17th was in the hospital for 4 days with an infection in her insision, poor girl. I have son and his 2 kids staying with me, we had a TERRIBLE storm last week, they are saying it wasn't a tornado, but there are trees down on houses all over town, my back yard looked like a Colorado mountain, there was so much hail, there was actually DRIFTS of it, all my plants are literaly shredded, just sticks.  Any way, son still doesn't have electricity and today is day 4 so they are at my house.. I was out  for a day. I have one wire down and some branches but I was blessed. A couple of boys had a tree fall on their car and were crushed. Almost time to leave work, I am going to take mom to a new tea room/used book store. Big heavy tables, right up her alley. Then home to actually  cook a real meal that isn't fried food. ( all the Chuck will eat) I have fresh zuchinni and beats,  yummy. Will also draft grandkids into yard clean-up services.. Have a great  remainder of the day..

Good afternoon Millie and Friends!  Busy morning here.  Millie, there was a time when I made all my own clothes.  Now I barely touch a needle and thread or the sewing machine.  My older son recently thanked me for teaching him how to mend seams and sew buttons when he was younger.   Sat. was a mixed bag - gym, hair cut and color, trip to WalMart, cooking for the week, laundry...  George worked from 6:30 - 4:00.  Sun. R&R mostly.  I packed for vacation and brought everything to my sister's to put in her camper.  I wasn't about to drag all that on the plane.  Sister, BIL, and niece leave Thursday with most of the clothes I own.  For the next two weeks, I'll be scrounging for something to wear.  My poor BIL will have four women in the camping trailer with all their gear.  He may decide to sleep in his truck! Can't wait till Friday - a day off! Debbie

Hi Millie, Nice to see you start the thread. I thought you lived in Michigan. Boy if you took a bus from Michigan to Washington State that is a long ride!!!!!! Well I went for a much needed physical. Didnt turn out to good. My B-12 was very low!!!!! Now that is weird cause it is usually very high. Now I am on shots 2 times a month for a while. No wonder I am so tired. Protien was good though. My cholesteral is 201 and it just wont go down even on medicine. So no more carbs for me. Just protien veggies and fruit!!!!! I have a nodule on my thyroid and may have to have it biopsied. I am pissed and scared!!!!! Also going for a Colonoscopy but that is par for the course. I worked from 12 to 8 and we were very slow. Hope tomorrow is busier. Carl is in Kansas somewhere  on his way back to Florida. I think they are packing it in in Topeka tonight. Ill see him sometime on the 3rd or 4th. Carla
