Fruit....
When I as in Panama City and sick (like I am now) I could not eat any of the food the rest of the family prepared... and everything tasted like chalk anyhoo...
..... so
.................. I found some cut up cantelope and watermelon and cherries in the fridge that someone had brought... I haven't had fruit in a very long time, and it was delicious and didn't seem to bother me any more that any other food... of course, I was spending all my time in the John anyway so it would hard to notice...
Where does fruit rate amongst the foods y'all eat?
Does it cause the big D for any of you?
The sugar?
Does it stick with you pretty good?... not at all?
I try to have at least two servings of fruit each day. Now that berries are in season, they are among my favorite. They are low in calories, high in vit. c., and low in sugar.
Cantalope is good too. Bananas, while high in potassium, are also high in sugar and carbs. I do eat 1/2 banana about twice a week. If eaten after your protein 1/2 cup of fruit should not cause any problems.
Once in a while I have a small apple with some peanut butter which makes a nice protein and fruit snack.
Marc, I know this is a silly question, but have you taken some Imodium to help with the big "D"????? It would probably be best if you would stick to broth, tea, and liquids until the bathroom issue is resolved......also saltine crackers will help (a few, not the whole box)!!
Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Done! Your Ticker:
Marc,
I eat a small amount of fruit each day. Never alone, always with a protein. For example - apple and peanut butter or cheese, cantalope and cottage cheese. My Nut said to always eat a protein and a good carb together. The fruit hasn't caused trouble ... so far.
Try Imodium and be sure to drink gallons of water. Dehydration doesn't feel pleasant.
Feel better soon
