Joan, So glad to see you posting this morning. I was wondering about you. Carl isnt comming home from Denver today. They cant leave till they get the moving truck packed. The packers didnt show up yesterday like they were supposed to. So my friends had to do it themselves. I think they are going to rent a trailer and hook it up to the moving truck and Carl is going to drive his car. Or they are going to leave her husbands car there and use ours till Yvette and I can fly to Denver and get it.  So my 2 days off this next week are messed up cause I dont think they are comming back so soon. If they leave the car in Denver I think my cousin and I are driving the Vibe my other car down to their new house and leaving it there and then Ill come back. HMMMMM Problems!!!!! Joan I wish I was going to Denver with you!!!!! I miss my friends there. I think I have to go in November sometime to see my surgeon. I am off today and just chillin. Carla

well we had a nice storm come thru here again yesterday....seems the storms have been over my head ever since i moved here...lol

i quit the job i had yesterday....i am not cut out for the resturant life...watching the cook was overwhelming to me and i was hot and sweaty and its not for me!!! especially for minimum wage and no benefits!!! sooooooo i will be back on the pavemant again tomorrow looking for another job....i have enough money for a few months to live off of but not any longer!!! please GOD get me a nice job that has a/c and benfits!!!

went to the festival down the street last night with rick...he taked me into going on the rides....omg!!!!!!! first was the ferris wheel....had to pry my fingers off the safety bar...lol i am afraid of heights....then he talked me into going on this ride called the hurricane......OMG it went way up high and them swooped down and back up again....i screamed bloody murder on that one!!! LOL i was shaking so bad when we got off that ride he didn't dare ask me to go on another one....lmaooooooo but we had a blast there!!!!!! me on rides again was a WOW for me!!!!!

well bandit is getting all matted up big time and i need to find him a groomer fast before it costs me an arm and a leg...hell they already told me at pet smart it would be 43 bucks!!!!!! dang!!!!! i also need to get my hair trimmed....looks nasty when it gets this humidity feel to it!!!! hate having baby fine thin hair!!!! grrrrrrrrrr

well ricks mom just got back from store so have to help unload it....have a great day everyone!!!!

God Morning Joan and Everyone.... Just quickly popping in to say hi. I am having a great time with my grands and daughters !! It always makes me so happy when we can all be together. Listening to my daughters talk about when they were children and teenagers and some of the crazy and fun things they did does my heart good!!  We all sat out in front of my daughters house and watched the parade go by on Friday night was so awesome. This was little Gracie's first parade. Watching her was so special. She was in awe! The older grands had other friends over and they were having a blast...Nic really needed that!! What a blessing....all of us together and having fun.  We had a BBQ and later that evening a Bonfire. The kids made somores and even some of the adults. It was fun to watch the expressions on their faces. No I didn't have any....I was afraid to even try them...too much sugar. We all needed this FUN time together....I am so blessed!! Thanks to all of you for the wonderful replys to my post about Nic. I appreciate your kindness and caring. The cancer is gone. He will still have to continue with chemo and then there is back to New York for the other treatments. The neroblastoma is still there and must be stopped before it attaches and spreads somewhere else. There still is a ways to go. thank you all for the prayers...Thank you Pearl for being Nic's gardian angel. Prayers to all and special ones to those in need. Love and hugs to all.......connie d

Hi Joan and everyone:  Joan, glad to see you back. Sorry you are having pain in your shoulder. Boy, do I know about pain that the doctors don't know what to do about. My knee is the same way. That's great you got to go to Denver. I'd love to go back there sometime. My nephew and his wife live in Thornton, they're accountants. She just downsized her job a bit so she won't have to work such long hours; she's starting a Bible study at work too. We don't know all the reasons behind the downsizing, but maybe she wants to start a famiy? My brother doesn't think so, but who knows? Maybe she hears her biological clock ticking. That would be nice ... my brother would like some grands. Aime, good to see you again. Does N know how lucky she is to have you? I'm glad you and she were able to reconcile. You take such good care of her and your grandson. I know you enjoy it, too.  Brenda, if I had your phone number, I'd give you a call today, I'm just sitting at home, watching baseball all day. I'm not suprised Bill likes fishing more than grilling ... don't they kind of go together. Didn't you love the Sox game yesterday? Go Sox! They're on ESPN tonight. Me, I'm not doing much today, just laundry, hanging around the house. I got up way too early (for me) today ... at 8 ... but then I went to bed around 1 this morning. I ate something that didn't agree with me last night and laid down about 11 to see if that would settle my tummy down ... it did. My freezer decided it was too full last night and started defrosting; I had some ice cream that was getting mushy so I ate a little bit (not a whole lot) but it didn't sit very well. Today, the freezer is OK but I don't have much ice from the ice maker. I may have to drink my bottle water if I want cold water. Miss Diva just came into the office (front bedroom where I have my computer) meowing ... she must have just woken up from a nap ... she wants to say hi to all the OFFers. And get some Casi Cielo coffee, I imagine. No, I guess she wants a drink of water.  It rained a lot over night and it looked like rain this morning but now it's clearing up. I'm sure soon my mom will call; she usually calls sometime around this time on Sunday. It all depends on whether she goes to Mass on Saturday night or Sunday morning.Sometimes she skips Mass and watches it on TV, and then goes to see Aunt Bernice, who doesn't get out much anymore ... Aunt Bernice broke her arm in a fall recently. She's 90 and very fragile now.  Well, I guess I should start laundry soon. I want to strip the bed today. Have good day, and Go White Sox!

Hi Joan and Offers!   WEll, I hit the outside like a hurricane this morning at 0730.  Got the back patio picked up a bit, weeded more of the flower bed, got an edging put in, hung out 3 loads of wash and mowed the yard all by 1030!  Now it is raining on my hung out towels and sheets that hadn't gotten dry yet, so now will have rain smelling sheets too when ever I can get them in!  LOL Had the doggy adoption again yesterday, ended up driving about 100 miles round trip, it was quite a ways away from me in Michigan.  I took Sgt Pepper with me and brought him home again too.  Sigh, I think he will be another long term foster!  Taking my parents out to PF Changs tonight for dinner to celebrate fathers day.  I know it was a few weeks ago, but my brother took him out then, I get to do it now!   I see it is raining harder now, great......another rinse for the clothes.  Maybe someday they will dry!  LOL  have a great week all!

Good Morning Everyone! My husband just left for his yearly camping trip with "the boys". I will enjoy having the house to myself for a few days. My only news is that I had my 6 month appointment with my surgeon yesterday and I've officially lost 101 pounds! He said that his goal for me is 160-170 (I'm 5 ft. 9 in. tall), so I need to lose 60 pounds to be at goal. I know that the last 60 will be much harder than the first 100... but I'm thrilled with what I have lost so far. I'm giving away clothes left and right! In fact, today I need to get out my next size down box and try on those. The closet needs to be revised once again. I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday! Julia
