what's new Thursday?

morning! scent? what i wear and what i like are two diff items!! i adore chanel *5...just cannot wear it cuz-um--it costs so darned much!!!! so i wear an avon-night magic it's a vanillay/musky but not overly powerful! oh i also love a liz fragrance the name of which has left me---vivd! that's it!.... my gramma used to wear emeraude...do you remember that? with the big green gem on it? i can still smell her every time i put that on!!!! and my MIL wore white shoulders-yum!!! it stunk on me tho! in high school i wore ambush-who didn't? and had such horrid headaches-couldn't figure out why i would come home from a date with a headache!!!!!--could just walk down the perfume aisle in the store and get a headache from it!!!! brave soul annette- i stear clear of those counters due to headaches! yesterday was michael's 2 week checkup since surgery-got stitches out - we go back in 3 weeks...doc seemed pleased.... we had rain and thunder last nite for a bit...very very heavy fog this morning! frizzed my hair when i took roxie out at 530!!!! started conversing with a realtor last nite...need to find a mitre box to make 8 cuts to do some repairs before we list..hate to buy one-may rent one i guess.....and still decluttering depersonalizing! rummage sale in 3 weeks......ugggh...... today i do the plasma thing.... nothing else really to talk about. hugs and prayers to all....

Perfumes -- love them, they hate me!
I used to wear Estee Lauder Youth Dew, but can't stand it now....too strong. I've worn Wind Song for years.
I remember wearing Ambush too and something else like
Emeraude. Avon used to make "Persian Woods" and I loved it, but they no longer make it. Scents that smell wonderful on other people, really "stink" on my skin. Duh!

Chanel is heavenly but never stays with me. It's like spritzing on expensive water but I love it on other people. You have good hair Margo - go with the pouf, it looks so feminine. Those with curls want straight, those with straight hair want curls. Mine just sits there and does nothing

yeah my hair is real real curley learned long ago to go with the flow....lol  use gel to keep the frizzies down but other wise wash and wear. no fooling with it , comb with fingers. 

Good morning Annette and Friends!   I suffer with migraines and have sensitive skin, so very rarely wear fragrances - I use unscented deodorant, Dial soap, and usually unscented hand lotion...boring, but it keeps the headaches and allergic reactions at bay!  In high school I remember using Emeraude (sp) and Ambush!  I went to an all girls HS, when the boys would come to our dances, they all wore Canoe or English Leather. Last night we went to Ethan's game!  What a hoot - all those 3 - 5 year olds chasing the ball.  Our grandson is like our son (his dad) a really good player.  He can hit and throw great, but can't catch worth a darn!  Danny played ball in grammar and high school - a real power hitter with aspirations of hitting the ball over the fence at all the local parks where his teams played.  He missed one!  He never could manage to hit quite hard enough to make a home run at this one park.   After the game we went to Danny's house to see the work he's done and his new furniture (You might remember he and DIL are separated and divorcing).  I didn't know my son had such good taste choosing paint color and furniture.    He had some help from his female supervisor who has done some interior decorating on the side. Well, that's about it, time to get back to work and earn my keep! Debbie  

Good morning, Annette and all my other OFF family. I hope today is good to each and every one of you.  I love to wear perfume and can wear most anything but some smell like a skunk on me~or maybe they make me smell like a skunk! My very very favorite is Sand and Sable. I love that one and I think it is timeless. I have a bottle of Magie Noire by Lancome and I am not sure that I care for it. It is a bit heavy to me but Bill says it smells alright to him~but the question is~do I trust what he says? I would say that the answer to that one is a big NO since most of the time he can't smell much. haha  Nothing much going on here this morning. They are out cutting the grass and trimming so it is loud outside. Bill is sitting on the patio and today he is looking out over his back 40 instead of Misty. Speaking of Misty she is no where to be found. She must have been running all night. lol She does that sometimes. That just proves to me that she is a cat, reguardless of the fact that she thinks she is a queen. My bet is that she is on our bed and sound to sleep on the top of her head. haha I have a few errands to run today. Nothing to much just some running here and there. I would rather do that today than just sit here like a big lump! Those days are over and long gone. Thanks so much to the wls.  I guess I had better get going. I have some things to do around here before my day really begins. I am sending love and big hugs to everyone. I hope that you all have a wonderful and fun filled day today. Enjoy life since it is truly a gift to all of us. My prayers are being sent for everyone with special ones going out to those in need.

Remember the guys wearing Jade East?? And there was another one that the name escapes me that Oh Oh it was Brut, I would desolve into a puddle if a guy wore brute. I wear Ralph Lorens "Romance" Chucks favorite, I can take it or leave it. "Realities" don't know who makes it but I love it, and "Vanilla Musk". Annette, when you first started the subject I was sure you were going to say it threw you into another migrain, I am so glad it didn't. You know what gives me an immediate headache? Spearmint! Don't know why, Itell people I am allergic to it. If someone around me chews Spearmint gum, I am immediately sick with a headache, very weird, I adore other kinds of mint .

We are bringing back so many memories of scents and aroma's. I had forgotten about Jade East until you mentioned it. The smells I remember, it's the names of them that I forget. Thanks for the reminders

And then there's Hai Karate ... remember those commericals? My father got some for Christmas one year ... it was pretty horrible. I don't think he ever used it (thank God!).

Hi Annette and my OFF friends, I usually wear Wind Song because it's easy to find and inexpensive but I also like Liz Taylor's White Diamonds and Heaven Scent by Prince Macchabelli sp? (hard to find).  My Mom always wore Evening in Paris in a lovely blue bottle.  My Mother-in-Law wore Jean Nate.  Someone gave me a bottle of Tommy Hilfiger fragrance Tommy Girl I think it's called.   It is citrus and smells like bathroom air freshener. It's true though that it makes a difference how it reacts with your skin as to whether it smells good on you.  I have that happen with lipstick.  When I first apply it, it's fine, but the color turns darker over the course of a half hour later. Going to a goodbye luncheon for a co-worker.  I'll back in later. Bev
