I went to the mall for a walk and window shopping. The perfume counter caught my attention so I stopped to sniff for a while. Usually I wear the same scent but thought it might be nice to have another for a change.  One caught my attention so I spritzed it on my wrist instead of the test paper.  SkunkThat was either a BIG mistake or a good idea. Although it smelled nice on the paper, on my wrist it turned ugly. Stinky in fact. My body chemistry didn't like it at all. I'll stick with my usual Coty Vanilla Fields. Do YOU have a special perfume? Perfume  Nothing exciting going on here.  Boring Boring is good!! Annette

yes i have a favorite perfume, it is Cody Wild Musk, i have several others but i love that one , have been wearing it for years. It is the one that i guess eveyone associates with me too since if they give me perfume it is always that scent.  WE are STill! working on remodeling the rental house. We have renters moving in this sunday, we have told them they will have to pile all of their stuff in what ever room is completly done and go from there. They said they dont mind. She has a job that is starting on the 1st and they needed to get moved and i understand that too. I think we will let them stay over in our guest house till we get this finished.  My garden is looking good i have lots of tomatoes and green beans and cucumber and squash. and my blackberry vines are loaded and will be ripe in about a week or so i would think. cant wait till my tomatoes are ready.  As soon as we get this house done we are fencing in a larger spot for the garden and starting killing the grass or buying some chickens and let them eat it clean, they will in a very short time.  they will eat every blade of grass in it, and fertalize it too lol.  finally finished getting the hole dug for the pond up next to our bedroom. hopefully will have time to set it and fill it today and get it running. It is going to be very pretty. I have several hostas to plant around it as well as some other woodland flowers.  got to go will be getting busy here in a little bit.  turn on coffee and mix first protein drink. have a good day Annette and other Offers

Wild Musk is one I like too Jan.  Your plants and vegetables sound so nice. Such an ambitious undertaking!! I have one cherry tomato plant and call it 'good enough'.

Hi Jan, Your pond and plantings sound delightful, I have 4 tomato plants in the backyard, it's about all I can handle right now, with my life being as busy as it is and I am putting an addition on the back of my home and so either in the Fall or next Spring I will begin figuring out what kind of landscaping I want to do. . . Take care, Laureen

Morning everyone, Wish I had a lazy day off today, but alas, it's a busy one with errands and appointments before our trip. Oh, gee...nails done at 11:30, then a massage at 1:00.  Life is tough.  Nice to be in a business where we can trade services! Fragrance?  My all time favorite is Coco by Chanel, but right now I'm wearing  Chanel #5  or Grace by Philosophy.  When DS was about 3 Gary put him down for a nap in our room while I was at work one Saturday. I came home to find all the windows opened and fans blowing OUT the front door. What???  Then it hit me.....the overwhelming smell of Coco.  Dear Jeff has sprayed the entire NEW bottle in our bedroom.  Not a drop left, but it took years to convince Gary to buy me another bottle.  Whenever I do wear it now, it's a fun memory to associate it with. Ok, time to go dig out the suitcases, check for their condition and size. Might stop by the local resale shop to see if they have any I might be interested in.  After all, I'm planning on taking wayyyyyyy too many clothes! Love, hugs and prayers to all

Susan, Are you all worn out from the massage, manicure and shopping expedition? What a way to go and much deserved.  Coco has funny memories for me too - not quite as funny as yours. Tom bought me a bottle as a special treat. My daughter and I were flying to Florida so I packed the bottle in my luggage. When we arrived and found our suitcases, all we could smell was Coco. The bottle had burst in my luggage.

See, that's something that concerns me about flying. I'm so afraid that something is going to burst and ruin all my clothes, so I pack all those types of things in plastic bags, not just a single layer of them either  LOL I'm stressed out today, starting to get anxious about the trip and all that there is to do. I canceled my massage and just got my nails done because I needed to find a new belt. Can't have the pants falling around my knees like you see on America's Funniest Home Videos all the time! Then, I was supposed to go to rehearsal tonight for a community band I joined a couple of weeks ago. The director has not gotten me my music so I haven't been able to practice and there is a concert TOMORROW!!!  I told him I wasn't comfortable performing without knowing the music, but he was ok with it. Well, this band is awful, and my being there without benefit of practicing won't make it any better. Add to that it's 30 miles away doesn't make it any more fun. AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hi Annette and all: I have problems with fragrances ... always have. I'm with Debbie ... they give me headaches and make me sneeze, cough, gag, etc. No perfumes, etc, for me. When I was a little girl, my dad came home from work, showered with Zest and I ran into his arms for ahug and started gagging. After that, it was Ivory soap and as much unscented stuff ... couldn't even stand the inscence at church ... and that's hard for a Catholic. My mother tried to do my hair up with hair spray and such, and that would make me gag. Now, I just go natural ... no spray, no mouse, no gels, etc. No perfumes ... there's a couple of cleaning ladies in our building at night that just pour on the perfumes and I can smell them coming a mile a way. I have to cover my mouth and nose when they're around me because I start to cough and gag.  I'm so glad they came out with unscented stuff! Well, I checked my bank account and after deducting everything I needed to pay, I'm still coming up short ... sigh! And that's with working overtime last week. Oh well, off to the bank I go.  Take care and have a good day. It's kind of cloudy here again ... didn't want to get out of bed, but I slept well last night.

Aloha Annette and OFF family....

First of all, THANK THOSE OF YOU *****SPONDED TO THE "How are we doing" post! I learned so much from all of you.

Annette..., it funny how perfumes are so different on different people. I used to wear Woodhue by Fabrege, and loved it. Then I switched to Windsong which I still love, and now I often just like the scent of Rainbath in my shower, and a little dab of a Hawaiian scent like tuber rose or plumeria.

Life has gotten busy lately!! So many things going on. The next two Mondays I'll be flying to Honolulu for doctor appointments.....surgeon and plastic surgeon guy. Then, I got a call from IMUA, where I am employed as the part time newborn hearing screener, and they asked if I'd be willing to do two weeks of front desk duty to fill in for vacationing woman. I said SURE!! IMUA's whole purpose is to help children who are challenged, and I'm happy to be a part of that in any way possible.

I finally had my CT scan, and the doctor called with results. I have diverticulitis (I think that is the dormant kind) which can flare up from time to time, and I have something in my spleen that he said was benign but we will watch, and otherwise he said my innards look perfectly fine. Annette I remember you had things that didn't show up on any tests, so I'm not taking this to the bank that I don't have any problems. If my body has another "episode" I will pursue it with gusto!

This morning I'm going to the hospital to observe an outpatient baby screening. It's a little different that when we have the babies in the nursery. I also got a 2nd raise....yippee!! I must be doing something right!! I'm still making peanuts, but hey.....it fills my gas tank and buys a few groceries.

Time to shower and get the day started. Mother Nature has blessed us with yet another glorious sunrise over Haleakela turning everything golden, turquoise (ocean), rich blue (sky), white (puffy clouds) and green (golf course style lawn.) I drink in this scene every morning and it fills me with peace and hope and love. I'm sending that across the ocean to all of you. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
