Aloha Evelyn.......Wow on everything you are doing right!! We had our surgery very close to the same time, and you are truly a success story in the making.

I do resent the fact that people are much nice to me now that I'm a normal size. They notice me where before it was like I was invisible. Glad you brought that up.

You are very lucky having no sleep or constipation problems. Good for you!

Aloha Kathie from Calif..........You have done an outstanding job in your journey to health, fitness and freedom in your body!! I am so proud of you.

It sounds like you have been pro-active in making sure you get the help you need when you need it. That is so important for all of us.

I don't envy you going through the change. I did it medically when I had a full hysterectomy when I was 46.

Don't worry, I'm in 3rd grade when it comes to computers, too...but I'm sure glad we have them in our lives, aren't you??

Keep up the great work.

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen

Aloha Debbie....miracle woman!!

You weight loss is nothing short of a miracle.........175.5 lbs!! Wow.....what a life transformation!

It seems we now are into the maintenance part of this whole drama, and I'm finding that more tricky than the losing part. I know I can eat more...but I don't, and when I try to fill 'er up, I end up hanging over the toilet letting go of it anyway. Figuring out what I can eat that will keep the pounds from falling off without making me sick is my challenge.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful journey with us. I KNOW you will inspire many....you certainly have me.

Aloha nui loa,

6.WHAT VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS ARE YOU TAKING? Multi Viamin when I remember..

7. ANY HAIR LOSS? No, and I have really thick hair, in fact I usually get it thinned when I go get a hair cut 8. WHAT KIND OF EXERCISE ARE YOU DOING? I had 3 hip surgeries after my lap band was done so for a couple months it was exercise just for me to get up and walk to the bathroom.  I am trying to get DH to go to the YMCA with me so we can water walk.
9. WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT CHALLENGES? ice cream, we had company last weekend and we had ice cream.
10. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE WHOLE WLS EXPERIENCE? Wished I could have done this 30 years ago.  I am already feeling so much better.  I would do it over again and again if I had too.
11. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR "WOW" MOMENTS? Buying clothes ......OMG I can be picky what I wear instead of hoping it will fit.   Walking the stairs to my office.   Wearing panty hose that don't go squish squish sound when I walk.  Seeing the look on my son's face when he saw me a couple of months after surgery.  Feeling bones in my body........yes I do have ribs.

12. DO YOU HAVE AN "ISSUE" WITH SLEEPING? Right now I do, but not because of WLS, it is do to the fact that the weather radio is going off all the time at night.
13. OK, we're being open sisters here....ANY PROBLEMS WITH CONSTIPATION? For me, YES.......Ow ow ow yes I sometime take colace for this or drink chocolate soy milk and that seems to do the trick.

Aloha Barb.......You didn't put down how much you have lost, but I'm guessing it's a lot.

You are doing great, but don't forget your water and your vitamins. Must make those a part of your daily routine. Don't want you getting into physical trouble.

Ice cream was one of my trigger foods in the past, and it still finds it's way into my frige, but now in the form of slow churned, low fat kind, and in sandwiches and bars. I have them every day, and those seem to cut my craving for real ice cream.

Oh yes!....you reminded me of how strange and wonderful it is to lay in bed and feel bones.......lots of bones!! I can put my hands on my hips and rest them on bones! Used to now be able to find any bones!!

Thanks for playing...wonderful responses!

Aloha nui loa,

Maui Karen
