DRAT!!  The center(Bariatric Wellness Center - Springboro, Ohio)  that I went to two weeks ago is closing so ... I need to begin again.  I've schedule another info session with another doctor but just hate to have to begin again.  Should I stay on the program the first guy put me on ???  or wait to see what the new dr says...... The next info session is about 2 weeks from now ...  I'm sure this has happened to others  - any advice?? Thanks Janelle

Hi Janelle....I would stay with the plan the first doctor gave you until you start with a new one.  Can't the Bariatric Center send your information to the new doctor?? That might speed this up a little. If they are closing before you see someone new ask for a copy of your records and give it to the next doctor. Hugs, connie d

Connie,  thanks for the reply.  I did call them and ask for a referral.  I'm meeting with the new  Doctor next week and hopefully, I can continue on my journey ....  I have lost a little weight in the past couple of weeks ....    I did a post for info on the new doctor on the Ohio forum.....   Thanks - Janelle

It seems like too many centers jumped on the bariatric surgery bandwagon and aren't making the money they thought they would because centers seem to open and close pretty regularly.  Just make sure you get copies of all of your records to take with you, since there is no guarantee you will be able to find any of these when you need them.

Thanks Judy for the advice ....  I certainly don't want my records disappearing with my surgeon!!

Janelle, That's lousy.  But at least you found a new surgeon quickly. I would follow the instructions the first guy gave you, and get your own copies of your records from his office, even if you have to drive over there and pick them up. Good luck! Jean

Thanks Jean - It is a great idea to stop and pick up a copy of my records before I see the new doctor.  Janelle
