Have been up and down all night tonight , too much watermelon i think lol Dont know is watermelon loaded with carbs? well if it is , it couldnt be the bad kind since it is fruit , right? I ate a ton of it last summer and so far ate my fair share this summer , lol  So what is going on with you all today? My day today is about like all the rest will be, working getting the rental house ready for our new renters on the first. Sometime today i have to go to Home Depot and pick up a new dishwasher and new shower doors but that is about it.  Hope your day is more exciting than mine. Just wanted to say hello all and miss you .

Hey Jan, I'd give my eye teeth to find a good watermelon.  I've bought two at wally-world that were thrown away as soon as I cut into them....nothing but mush. One cup watermelon:   48.6 cals, .65 fat, 10.9 carbs and a whopping .94 grams of protein. We're seriously thinking about buying a rental property while the market is so low. I'll have to pay attention to your experiences with it to see!  Hope you have a great Sunday, nice to say you're able to do all you're doing on the house. Our lives are so much better now. Nothing much happening here, straightening up and grocery shopping before the kids come for dinner.  It's nice to get this done on Sundays so my days off on Mondays are  my own. Gotta start getting things ready for our trip.  We're both starting to get really excited now. Take care everyone!

Susan my local groc store will cut a watermelon in half for me to see if it is ok. and then wrap it tightly so it doesnt leak.... Sugar in fruits dont seem to bother me in any way shape or form.....now sugar in other things sure do. so what is the difference????

Hi Jan and all, Looks to be a beautiful day today after lots of rain and stormy weather during the night. Good for our grass, flowers and gardens. We are having my parents and sister and brother in law for BBQ for belated Father's Day today. Hope it stays nice. Daughter sent me e-mail that she passed all of her classes, Yay! She is having her first group of kiddlets at camp today...very excited. She is so good with kids. We are  so proud of her! I don't have much news...feeling a little down in the dumps but not sure why. Prob cuz I only sleep about 4 hours a night...not sure. Have a lovely day all. Cheryl

 Watermelon   Good morning JAN and ALL Watermelon does the same to me. Good exercise. We are catching up on odds and ends today. Tom seems to have more energy knowing he starts his 4 day week and will be home tomorrow.  The annual Ithaca Festival came with the usual thunderstorms. Never fails, even though they changed the date this year.  Parking was difficult and we ended up on the 8th floor of the parking ramp. The elevator is small, slow and smelly so we walked down - no problem. After walking up and down the streets we walked back UP the 8 floors too and I was scooting ahead of Tom the entire time. HE was puffing, panting and said I was showing off. Damned right I was!! It wasn't so long ago that he had to push me in a wheelchair to see the festival.  Oh Happy Day!! Annette

The sugar would be a bad thing for me, my calorie counter book doesn't list sugar content, but I know watermelon is pretty high. I prefer cantalope.

Good Morning Jan and everyone......... I am sooooooo tired today!!  Two days of having a garage sale is definately enough!!  It was fun but the days were long. I did pretty well.  I was surprised at all the clothes that went. I had put an ad in the paper that there was alot of plus size clothes. That helped ....many larger ladies showed up. They were amazed that I once fit in those sizes. Today is my relaxation day unil the car races start later this afternoon. Then I am off to the track. Prayers going out to all....especially those I know need a few extra. Love and hugs to all.......connie d
