Hi Margo and Everyone, It's early for me here on the West Coast.  Couldn't sleep for some reason.  Tummy rumblings actually woke me up!  LOL  I'm back to hearing the sounds from the movie Tora! Tora! Tora!  I was also dreaming about the heatwave and got really hot for some reason even though the a/c is on.  Ah.... the mind. Went to our little grandson's Open House at his pre-school last night.  Such fun.  He was excited to see us there and his other grandparents came as well.  I'm so glad we went because I think he was the only student, out of 10, who came.  Most of the children live much further away from the school so it's very hard for them to return.  Very nice classroom and really nice teacher.  The theme in the room is dinosaurs so we learned alot.   I find it interesting I get short of breath and really tired when I am out moving around like I was last night.  Been struggling a bit to get all the protein in the last couple of days but I've managed to meet both the protein and water requirements.  Everything in time I guess. Have a great Saturday. Kathi

Kathi, Is the shortness of breath something new since WLS? If it is, call your doctor!!! Feeling tired at this stage is not unusual, but the breathing might be a symptom to be looked at SOON ... as in TODAY. Annette

Thanks, Annette, I'm going to watch it today very closely and see how I do.  It's hard to explain but it was more of an exhaustion feeling rather than a true short of breath.  I won't hesitate to call the surgeon if this continues.  It's sort of like the feeling when I've been extremely hungry and more of a "weakness" than a short of breath I think.  It's just a feeling that I need to sit down and stop moving for a minute. Not explaining this very well I'm afraid! Kathi

It's funny, but when I had my hernia surgery (before WLS) I was watching the miniseries Centennial and I had dreams I was in the middle of a cattle drive and all the cattle were around me and I couldn't find my way out! Where's the beef?

Morning Margo and my dear ones, Yipeeee  it's my Friday!!! First client canceled so I don't have to be in until 10:00, then one color to do and then I'm packing up to go off site to do a bridal party.  That will be fun, but tends to be a bit stressful doing hair in someone's home. I always worry that I'll forget something back at the salon.  But things like this are the reason someone invented the saying "fake it till you make it"   LOL  If the hair gods are good I'll be home reasonably early. Not much going on other than work.  I still haven't gotten the calorie thing figured out, and have lost 4 of the 6 lbs I gained back after surgery. So much for the doctor's "revision" so I'd absorb more. Guess I can stop worrying about regaining all my weight?  LOL Hope everyone's day is wonderful.  Know I think about all of you often throughout my day. You're my inspiration and strength. Hugs

Susan, It sounds like fun (and a bunch of work) to do a bridal party.  You will figure out this new fangled calorie thingy. It's still rather new to you.

You never know about these things. I've gone to them where I've been made to feel like a member of the family, offered snacks and drink, then another time  I was told how to go out the back door so no one would see me!  This bride is a bit older and very sweet. The only thing she told me when she e-mailed me the directions to her house was not to park on the grass. Now, who would park on someone's lawn?  Oh....I forgot....it's Arkansas The calorie thingy?  It's all a bunch of bunk!  I hate it, hate trying to figure it out, hate eating/drinking just for calorie's sake.  If someone told me two years ago I'd feel this way about food I'd think they were nuts!  You're right though, I'll get it figured out.  I do know one thing, I'll go on vacation and not worry a bit about what I eat or if I gain weight  LOL   First time for everything, right? Hugs to ya!

Wheel  I always give my tires a quick check before driving. Good thing too. As I left my daughter's house, OH CRAP - a flat tire.  Back inside to call the X. He has the towing service. No, I don't have the strength to change a flat tire. There was a big old nail in the tire.  Tom had asked me to stop and get him a Jim Dandy from Friendly's on the way home. Was the nail Divine Intervention to keep the ice cream out of my house?  Winky 2  The grand's gave me a super duper work out. I lay on my back and do leg lifts, giving them a ride. Melanie decided it would be fun to alternate one leg at a time instead of using both legs. Naturally, Matthew followed suit. Matthew now weighs 28 pounds and Melanie a bit more - that's a LOT of weight lifting.  Weight Lifting I'm not at all sore this morning. That's a WOW. Annette

Who needs to go to the gym? You have grandkids! Sometimes I have cats for weights. Diva likes to sit on my legs and let me lift her (but she's only 9 pounds).
