Cris, welcome and we are glad that you are becoming and ex-lurker. That is the way we like it. Please post often so we can all get to know each other.  Congratulations on the date of your new beginning. I had said that I wish that I had this surgery earlier and now I know that I wasn't ready for it then. I was 53 when I had it and I wouldn't trade my new life for the exsisting one I had before.  It isn't going to be long before you are on the bench with us, so we better get it dusted off and ready for you.  Best of wishes for you and prayers for you and your medical staff. I pray that they have knowledge and compassion and that you have a safe and uneventful surgery with a speedy and pain free recovery.

I love the fact that most of us are "early" people and up before those youngsters.
