Morning Aime and friends, Aime, I can't believe LP is 6 months old already!  So much has gone on around him  since his birth but all he knows is Grandma's love and those cyber snugglies he gets from his Aunts and Uncles here. If it were me, I'd be getting two bottles, one for each of us!! Not a lot going on here, I have a busy day at work, thankfully. Picked up a new client yesterday, a transplant from OK City, wonderful lady who enjoys pampering herself and doesn't mind spending the money to do it.  To promote business and hopefully get some clients back who haven't been in for awhile I've started a monthly drawing for a $75 gas card. They get their names in the pot when they come in, again if they spend more than $100, and then again for each referral they send me. Hopefully it will help keep my chair occupied and the $$ coming in. DS is still not finding a job, so me thinks I'll be sliding them some cash now and then to help out. Went to see the friend who's husband is in the hospital. Bless her heart, she didn't even bring clothes (other than undies) with them, so she's wearing the same thing for three days now. They live 75 miles away, she won't leave him for anything, so I guess my next care package will be a couple of changes of clothes. I suppose I'd be the same way if Gary were laying in a hospital bed. It's shower time, so you all have a great day, take care of each other.

Good Morning! whoops back again made a booboo! My goodness Aime, I don't know how you do it! My butt is dragging and I don't have any kids at home, no grands either! You are a wonderful grammy. Susan, I wish you lived near so I could have you do my hair. It is still so thin. I want to cut it again but...You too seem to have energy enough for 4 people! Janet, my gosh 77 miles! Good luck on your job decision. Annette, read about your scary incident. My goodness! Keep a meat and cheese roll in your bra! Wear one of those hats that hold liquid and have a straw. That is fun when people don't recognize you! Well, fun, but for me kinda weird too. Have a ultra sound scheduled for July 1st....also got a referral for the eye specialist...and Dr. tried me again on ambien...took it last night up at 3:30 so.....whatever. Walked my treadmill after posting yesterday morning and plan is to do that this am too. Wish we lived near enough to sit down and have coffee in person! Have a great day, friends! Cheryl Kathi, been thinking about you and am excited for you!

Hi Aime & My OFF Family!

Amazing the energy you manage to find in yourself when the little ones need us. . .  hard to believe, as others have said, that LP is 6 months old!  They are so damn cute at this stage, enjoy, though I'm sure you need some extra pampering and hope you will eventually find the time for it!

As for my day, nothing too much happening, enjoying the lovely weather we are having and wishing it could be this way for the entire summer, though depending on where you live, I guess it's a matter of geography. . .  looking forward to my WLS support group meeting tonight and going to try to make the informal dinner before hand, but not sure I'll get out of here on time for that, of course, today would be a busy day, which for me means keeping my paycheck and being able to make another mortgage payment ;)

So I will wish you all a great day and take leave now,

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Good Morning Everyone, Everyone is up so early today. I have been up since 5 am . Ou****ering my plants and cleaning up dog droppings.   Today is my one year anniversary from WLS. I have lost a total of 172 pounds. We had to lose 10 % of your body weight before surgery. I had lost a total of 45 pounds before surgery so actually have lost 127  pounds since surgery. I just wanted to post today to tell everyone that I am so grateful that I found this board before my surgery. Without reading all of your post and getting so many post of support from all of you this journal would not of been so successful. I don't always post but I read  all the post everyday.  So many of your stories have brought me  insight into how hard this struggle is and that we are not alone. I know at any given moment I have all of you. Again, Thank you.........    Debi

Hi Aime and Everyone, Good to see you again Aime.  Nice to know you are having lots of quality time with the baby.  You're the best gramma in the world.  I hope your daughter-in-law improves quickly. Went to my first follow-up appt with the surgeon yesterday.  Labwork was fine.  I'm doing great.  Lost 14 pounds since surgery.  I get to keep introducing thicker liquids now, one thing at a time.  She suggested cream of wheat but I doubt I could get that awful stuff down.  Pew!  Then she said baby food and blended soups.  Blended soups it is I think.  Any suggestions?  Supposed to get really hot here the next few days with temps around 100 degrees in from the ocean.  That means swimming weather for me after Thursday (2 weeks post-surgery).  Looking forward to trying that. Happy Wednesday everyone, Kathi

I don't like cream of wheat either, but I got the ok to use Coco-Wheats --- Yumo!

Kathi:
It will be in the hot cereal aisle, probably close to the cream of wheats.....it's the same texture as C.O.W., but has a chocolate flavor......I added a small tsp. of smooth peanut butter to mine and it was delicious.

Hope you can find it.
