baby Martin made dramatic entrance.
Congratulations on the new one. I understand what you mean abouot the Exorsist gal. I have seen tizzy fits from gals that have just barely started labor (like dilated 1cm) and they come unglued when I stick a needle in them.
I understand the fast delivery also. I have preciped 4 out of 5 times. Delivery in less than 15 minutes of arrival on 2 of them. Ya, the staff gets really zippy, especially when you have no Dr there and your only help is a student that has never seen a delivery. It didn't help the nurse that I was her good friend and that the babies heat rate was 39 and not rebounding. As you can guess she didn't come out crying or moving either. another friend from the nursery got there just in time to grab the baby and run to the NICU. She was fine within about 15 minutes. She is a real fighter. She is now 21 and a Black belt in Shaolin Kunfu. LOL
Delivery is a very scary time. things can go wrong as you well know. And mothers can be all sweet one minute and monsters the next. Some are just quiet the whole time.
I hope she is happy and smiling now. Enjoy that little one all you can. By the time you turn around he will be all grown up.
I can't wait to see the pictures. Diana
No, I haven't been on the board for a while. No fun going through an emergency C section. I've seen plenty. They are usually because of fetal distress, but as you know sometimes these little ones don't want to wait for their appoitment. That really makes everyone jump. Our local hospital as a C section room right in Labor and delivery. That helps a lot because surgery is on another floor. Of course you have to make it up to OB to begin with. That is one good thing I can say about that hospital.
I was afraid that I was going to have a section with Marie with her low heart rate, but she came out really fast. 4 to complete and crowning in 3 contractions.
At least my recovery was easier than with a C Section.
I hope we see those pictures soon. You must be totally exhausted after such on ordeal. The mother gets to rest, Grandmas don't. Diana
