Good morning Susan and Friends!  I actually have my cup of half decaf, half loaded with milk and Splenda!  Usually my coffee time is afternoon or evening.  Today I'm shaking it up a little!  Dare to be different.  Same **** every day gets boring. Not much new in my little corner of the world.  Shorthanded at work again, that's nothing new. My boss surprised me by coming in at 9:00 yesterday.  Dang it.  He's been very subdued lately.  It's actually rather nice, but I know he could blow his top at any minute.  It's like walking through a mine field. I never could get the hang of sudoku puzzles, finally figured it out, bought a book yesterday, and solved several of them!  Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks! That's about it from me! Good morning Susan and my OFF friends,  Susan I had to laugh about your dog,we have a chihuahua named Skeeter who thinks he is a "BIG DOG"  and likes to run through the house and slides across the wood kitchen floor. Margo- prayers for your g-ma and congrats on the 3# loss.  Cheryl good luck at the pcp today, I find that if i make a list of all the issues I want to cover I can keep my pcp on track and not forget anything.  Bev- sorry to hear about your rain mess , hopefully no damage, I've always wanted to join the Red hatters, I'll have to look up a group near me. I have my Red hat already.  Annette, please be careful I'll keep you in my prayers that nothing like that happens again, maybe you should let your md. know what happened?  Laureen, have a great day!  Connie , I'll pray for your friend Pearl. Debbie, I love Soduko puzzles, The only ones that cause me grief are the Medium ones. You'd think it would be the more challenging ones but no...go figure have a great day everyone....Paulette

Well, at least today I'm not blocked from the daily thread. Don't know why I couldn't see Monday's ... I hated that yesterday.

It's a nice looking day out there ... sunny but partly cloud and very windy. It was coolish last night when I got home so I kept the windows closed. Sorry, but Starbucks kitty Diva was demanding more Casi Cielo coffee with SF Cinnamon Dolce ... she loves her Starbucks! (any coffee, really, but today's brew is Casi Cielo ... I give her a little on my fingertip, otherwise she would drink it out of my cup.) I discovered there is a tree/bush outside my bedroom window that has flowers on it that are still budding. Probably the reason I have been having headaches the past few days, because I've slept with the windows open. The flowers smelled nice, but my eyes started itching immediately. Too bad, because the days have been very nice, but I have to keep the windows closed.

Thanks for all of your support on my condo association problems. I know I've been a whiner lately on my financial issues. I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from my chest. I actually slept so much better last night. Part of the reason I don't ask my brother Ed for money (and he has it, too ... Gary doesn't, he would help ... and I still owe him money from vacation but not much) is because of family history .. my uncle Jay, my father's younger brother, was an alcoholic who had my father cosign a loan for him on a car. He then defaulted on the loan and my father was stuck paying the loan. My dad never took out a loan or had a credit card until he bought the house; he was very angry with his brother and really never forgave him for that. I don't want to ruin my relationships with my brothers over money.

Just got off the phone with my mother while I was writing this; she was worried about me and decided she was going to send me $100 to help me over the rough times. Bless her heart. She said she got her stimulus check and all these churches were asking her for money and decided she'd rather donate to her daughter instead. Even though I didn't want to ask her for money because I've asked her for too much over the years, she comes through for me. I'll probably have money for gas and my prescriptions this week.

Things are looking brighter every day.

Margo, hope things turn around for you and your grandma is OK.

Good afternoon, Girls! I hope that today is treating you good.  It is a beautiful day here. The sun is shinning and the flowers are in bloom on my double sheperds hook. They are big pots of purple petunias. They are bright and verdent and with the white pots and green leaves they are a sight to behold. All of the flower bulbs that we planted are in bloom. The leaves are there and I know when the flowers bloom they will be worth waiting for. The only plant that I worry about is my bleeding heart. I want  that one to grow so badly and so far just a tiny little green is coming out. I would have thought that it would grow a bit faster than that but I must bear patiently my heart and it will come to be.  Misty is looking out over her back 40 and watching the birds fly around and they are chirping and singing. I love the sound of them. The sea gulls are here and there. They fly around and aren't as afraid of people. They come up close when we are sitting on the swing in the back. Now Misty is curled up on the little throw rug in front of the slider and watching, so it must be going to be a long watch over HER property. lol The trees are in bloom and so full. The little birds are in them and they sing and fly around and come and sit on the patio at times. I love watching birds~that is something that mom got me into.  I am going to spend the afternoon picking stuff up around here. It is beginning to look lived in if you know what I mean. lol There is so much stuff sitting around and it has to go! When there is to much stuff I get kind of nervous inside and I know that it comes from mom~she was a person whose motto was A place for everything and everything in it's place. Now I know that mom would be around her picking up and putting away things and so that must be in my blood. Growing up with a perfectionist was not always easy. lol I baked a cake for Bob and his family. Joan is going to be buried tomorrow. The viewing is from 10 to noon and then the service is at noon. Bill is going to the service and told his boss that he might be a bit late and she said that is alright. He told he was going because he thought that she might want him to work days for her and she go. He told me that he was going to let her know that he has plans to go. She said alright. She is very leaniant in the time. If you are going to be a half hour or even an hour late she just lets it go. At least she is that way with Bill. She isn't always that way with everytone but then Bill has been there for 10 years. I guess that makes a difference. Who knows with her~she is one way one day and then the next she is the wicked witch on the Wizard of Oz. lol I guess I should be going. Things are calling me and I told Bill I was making the southwest chicken salad for supper tonight. He was kind of happy on that one. So now I have to do it!!!! Sometimes I need to be held accountable for things, it makes me get off my duff and do something. lol I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are going up. Special ones are being said for those in need of them.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Hi All Better late than never.  I always seem to be bringing up the rear on the "What's New", then I figure I must have the Kiss of Death, 'cause no one seems to post after I do... Just got back from another job interview, same agency as the last one.  They really seemed interested this time, and I was hoping for the best.  Then they told me that my office wouldn't be  about 50 minutes from my house, which is what I'd been told, but further north, an hour and a half during rush hour.  To far for me, especially with the price of gas.  I told them that, and thanked them for their time, and asked them to keep me on the short list for the next opening. This interview thing isn't too bad, knowing I already have a good job that I don't have to leave.  It helps a lot that I'm more comfortable putting myself out there, now that I'm not so self conscious with how I look.  The hardest thing I did today was decide which of my pretty new clothes I'd wear for the interview.  Oh, yeah, and deciding which pair of shoes to buy when I went shopping after the interview.   I bought both pair.  Life is good. Everyone have a good evening. Candy
