Annette, I am glad that little episode is in your past. It must have been very scary. I know that most of the time right after I eat I get hot and sweaty. I haven't figured out what it is, but it happens only after I eat. Take care of yourself and I am sending prayers for you. Love and hugs to you, big sis.

Thanks little sis, Your hot and sweaty and my cold and funky is probably related in some way to our blood sugar levels. Want to trade? I long for feeling hot again.

Annette, I would trade with you any day. When I get them I am so hot that I feel like I want to pass out. I thought that it had something to do with blood sugar. My a1c had been 5.6 and yesterday it was 6.2 but my blood sugar at the doctors was 94. Go figure. I was concerned because it went but the pcp told me that there is nothing wrong with that a1c and now that we know it went up a bit we just have to watch it more closely and make sure it gets taken every 3 months. I told her that the wls doctor said something about a glucophage and she told me no not yet. I told her that I thought that fasting sugar was high when I had my labs last and she said that is probably why he mentioned it. I just have to remember to check it more often. I am suppose to check it once a week and I always forget since I took the meter off the microwave and into a cabinet. lol Just have to remember to take it more often. I would take your cold and funky to my hot and sweaty any day.

Hi Susan & OFF Family members! It is a wonderful day here in NYC, sun is shining, low humidity and low temps, just the kind of weather I love, but alas I am indoors at my work station, hoping the day goes quickly and I can get out and enjoy some part of it this evening, hopefully take a nice long walk before going to my AA meeting. Anyway, nothing too much going on, just wanted to drop by and say hi to all of you.  Hope you all have a good day! Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

She says I am doing her a world of good....I think it is the other way around!! I have a busy work day and best get on  with it. Prayers to those in need. Love and hugs to all.......connie d

I'm glad Pearl is getting some relief and is doing better. How is Nic? I think of him often. The news on Bruce is better ... his demise isn't as imminent as it seems. Cancer hasn't spread to his liver yet. He may see this Christmas. Hope the chemo is doing its job on Nic, too. Bruce is getting Vitamin C drips only and they seem to work. Has your family checked into alternate medicines at all?

Hi Eileen......thank you for the post. Nic is having chemo all this week. He is so tired out the poor kid. He doesn't get so sick like he was for awhoile there. Yes, they have looked into many kinds of options and continue to do so. Thanks for the good thoughts of Nic. I am glad things are going better then expected for Bruce. That is truely a blessing.  Pearl is hanging in there...she is quite the fighter!! I speak with her everyday. She welcomes those calls. Have a great day...hugs.....connie d

Connie, I am so glad that Pearl is getting some relief. Once they get that it helps a great deal. I remember that when mom was in hospice toward the end. I am assuming that she is in hospice, and I right on that one? They are wonderful people and so caring and loving towards not only the patient but the family also. She remains in my prayers as you do also, dear sister.
