Am I crazy?
I'm new to this forum - age 62, down 105 pounds since September. I'm slimmer than I have been in over 40 years, and don't know how to handle it. I'm starting to graze, and eat the wrong type of foods. I'm feeling like my brain is telling me that I have lost enough weight, even though I have at least another 60 pounds to go. I'm proud of my accomplishments, but I'm scared that I will revert to my old habits and need to know how I can kick myself into high gear to keep on track. Haven't lost any weight in about 3 weeks.

First of all you are not crazy....this is more normal then you think.
You need to keep busy and not give in to that Head Hunger. Put up some before Weight Loss Surgery pics around your house. Look at them often and remind yourself why you did this surgery.
You do not want to get back into those eating old habits. Fight hard....you have come to far to start turning it back to the way it was.
Drink more water...use crystal light if you aren't already. Be sure the majority of your meals are protein. The rest veggies and fruit. Eat dense protein as that will stay with you and satisfy you longer.
Good luck...hope you end that stall soon.
Hugs, connie d
Welcome to the Over Fifty forum - here you will meet great ladies and a couple gents, who will give you encouragement, support and best of all, love!
I had RNY in Aug. 2007 - I have only lost 85 lbs. For the past few months I have gotten off track so have not lost like I feel I should -- I think I should have lost at least 100 lbs by now, but guess what, it's my own fault! It is very easy to fall back into old habits - that's what happened to me. I have to talk to myself daily and re-inforce what I should be doing. I keep a food dairy and some days even that doesn't help. It's all in our heads, as far as I'm concerned.....we had this surgery to be healthier and yes, I certainly am, but if we want to stay that way we have to work the tool. That means eating the right foods, exercise, drinking our water and staying on track. No bad carbs, no grazing.
This forum will give you encouragement when you need it most. I hope you will come often and don't be afraid to ask anything.....good luck and God Bless.

Aloha and welcome to the OFF!! You are to be praised for facing the truth and putting it out there for all of us. This kind of sharing with each other is powerful reinforcement of how we can use or "misuse" this wonderful tool we have been given. Each of us has moments when we go astray in one way or another, and when it gets out of control, we are so fortunate to have this forum to come to for help, for encouragement, for understanding, for a kick in the buh-tocks if we need it! Ha!

Sandsma, First off .... WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF OFF **** Great group of people here willing to help and encourage each other no matter what is going on. ~ ~ ~ ~ Second, you are right to feel proud of your accomplishments. 105 pounds and a new life is worthy of self pride. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Third, however, don't beat yourself up. Most if not all of us face the same dilemma. After all we are human and creatures of habit ( some good some bad). ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Fourth, I see you live in Kent, just up the road from me in Puyallup...... and if you are like most of us here you are tired of the dreary weather. It has put me (and others) in a funk. I too have found myself grazing out of boredom and restlessness. ....Also, I HAVE to write down my food intake or I'm all over the board trying to eat what I need..... Best Wishes and Good Luck Millie
