What we are eating,and what's eating us!!!! Monday..
Everything is great when I post my menu but as the day goes on there are some deviations from the menu. Mostly that I'm letting chocolate sneak back into my diet. And not just diet chocolate, but a Snickers Bar or Raisinettes from the cafeteria machine. Evil machine!!! Or there is an extra scoop of low fat ice cream in the evening. I have cycles or doing fine and cycles of going wild. It's very hard to reign in.

Greetings Lovely Linda. I absolutely love your tossed salad. Soooo dang cute. ****** I NEED to watch my food this week. I didn't lose anything last week (maybe a little sanity). I got on a kick of protein bars.. and pre-packaged nuts. One pkg is 1/2 cup.. soo me thinks it is a nice little serving of protein.. Me thinks Me is wrong .. wrong .. wrong.. Lot of fat in them...B: cottage cheese w/strawberries & banana L: left over grill onions & cheese D: chicken, salad, mix veggies S: protein shake.. ... ENJOY LIFE Millie

Menu looks good today, and that's all we have is today. Now the protein bars...what are they high in??
I try to enjoy life, I feel so closed in sometimes, but hey, I am here and earning my keep, which I had better do as there is no one else to do it.
Isn't it wonderful how we can reel ourselves right back in?? Remember the Monday morning diet, that was over by Tuesday night??

Hey there Gal, in answer to your question on the protein bars...... the company is Premier Nutrition... the name of the bar is Protein... it has 30g of protein, 10g sugar, total carb 23g, 9g fat, sodium 460, the calories are 290 ... everything seems high.... however, I cannot eat a whole bar. One is double chocolate, chocolate peanut butter and yogurt peanut crunch... The main ingredients are a protein blend.... soy protein isolates.. whey protein seems healthy and tastes good. I cut a small chunk off each bar and cut into small bite sizes and eat them like candy. They are rich in flavor and good. I bought them at Costco. I'm new to all these bars and am not sure what to eat. I want to find one and stick with it... Let me know what you think... and if any suggestions... I'll listen... Nite... Millie
