WHAT'S NEW!!! HAPPY FEATHERS DAY!!
Good Morning Texas Red and Friends,
Yesterday we loaded up the car with Hanna, Clara, Lucy, Erin, and me along with all of their "necessities." We were talking to Erin's sis in law on the speaker phone and completely missed our turn for White Pass. We took a scenic trip over Chinook Pass which has just been open for a couple of weeks. It is closed every winter from about Nov to June. It goes right through Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park and the day was stunning. Bright blue skies, lots of snow, and about 65 degrees.
We stopped for the twin's first picnic. Nothing to eat with us for US but milk and a quick change on a picnic table for them. Right along a beautiful rushing river. I think I've found a new camping spot for this summer.
Made it back to Chehalis by 3pm. Babies had slept all the way home so they ate and fussed, fussed and ate, until about 10pm. Then they slept til 4am. We fed them again and it's almost 7am and I haven't heard them yet. But they are about due. Even if you pick one up to let the other one sleep, they have the same program built in. It won't be long before the 2nd one chimes in. Usually Miss Clara is first and when she wakes up you better hop to it. She has a very short fuse when it comes to waiting for milk!
Josh will be home this afternoon from his trip. He's back in cell phone range still in British Columbia but should be home by mid afternoon. I'm going to disappear early this morning. I have a lot to do at home. Moving into the apartment will take place next week and we still have a lot of packing to do.
Missing my daddy today. I was a daddy's girl. Loved snugging up to him when he'd get home from his construction job. Loved the smell of him. Good old masculine sweat but that's a smell I associate with him. I was lucky enough to have him until I was 45. You all take care.
