NEWBIE PRE OP @ 61 AND PROUD

I just found this MB and it seems to be a very caring and close group.  My cardi doctor said I needed to look into surgery because of my co morbids.  I had heart failure, cardiopathy (low ejection fraction), sleep apena, diabetes, high clos high blood pressure and take an enormous amount of meds each day.  My insurance carrier will pay 100% and I have only one more nutrionist consult and I will submit my papers.  I have had every cardio test known to man, my upper GI, colon test, behavorial consult, so I am ready and excited to go forward.  I have only 100 pounds to lose and my health is my main focus.  I must get off some of  the meds and my diabetes has gone crazy.  This is going to improve my life and let me have the energy to keep up with my grand children.  I have the support of my family (finally) and so I am off and ready to  go on this incredible journey with my hope for a brighter future.  I work in a very professional environment and will continue to do so for several more years.  I live in Texas and commute from East Texas 2 hours to work (one way) each day to downtown Dallas.  I have the best surgeon in the world and the best cardio doctor.  I have two cardio recommendations.  I am having gastric bypass in August.  I will be ready in July, but my surgeon will be on vacation the entire month.  Well I guess that is enough...just wanted to say hello and glad I found this board.  I normally stay on the Main or Texas Boards but am glad to have found this MB.  Sincerely, Nancygp
